Iv personally tested and this map rocks! i cant wait to see a finished product, the fighting system completly rocks (you just have to see it!!!) and will be a winner for all you rpg'ers!!

It looks very interesting, I'll be sure to check it out when it is ready. The battle arena looks like you have put a lot of work into the fighting gameplay, which is something I really like smile.gif. Could you tell us more about the battle system? Is it turn based or real time, do you move (evade?) during battles or stay at the same spot and will you have a virtual health system which allows you to input tons of weapons and spells?
What does the "Basic Enemy AI" include?

My last question (sorry about the number of questions, I just really like it so I want to know more) is since it's a single-player RPG why won't you make it a mod? It isn't extreemly complicated and you can do darn cool things with it.

Gah questions mind overload..

Yes i can tell you abit more about battle system and stuff. I'll answer your question best as i can..

Virtual Hitpoints, no isnt in map. Evade, nah didnt add it. Only have one unit = Terran Ghost and his abilities. Which i'll explain abit more about soon. Basic AI, just enemies roaming around arena randomly doing stuff, One moment could be roaming, next minture attacking you, then could be following you, casting ability/spell, sitting around doing nothing. Mod, hmm i could do a mod but i dunno, all depends if in mood or not to do a mod.

Now explain system alittle bit better...

Unlike most Battle Systems you run into enemy and get into a battle, not this one. Walk around and a death counter adding up deaths, once hits say 15 you'll enter a battle and randomized switches are going creating random monsters for that area your in. Random music will go once in battle, enemy doing w/e its doing. You'll select a battle command from your shuttle, From start commands which are useable by you are, Attack = 2 AP, Knife Throw = 3 AP, Daggerslash = 1 AP / 1 MP and Flee = 1 AP.

Unloading attack will unally enemy subtract 2 AP Away from you and you'll attack enemy for 2 seconds, You can miss during attack and get a critical. During abilities like Daggerslah / Knife Throw you can miss during them havent added critical for them most likely wont. Knife Throw well you throw four knifes at enemies and does w/e dmg is set to, Daggerslash is a high powerful attack last longer then Knife Throw and does more damage as well but costs you MP. Flee you have 50% chance run away or failure to flee. During your attack time bar is recharging once all blue you can unload unit again and attack again, if its orange your attack wont happen at all so no point in always unloading units -_- like some people. I guess this explains it abit more.

I've played the map and I have to say even in its infant stages, it was well worth my time. I like the battle system (even though I kept getting misses... doo doo) and I like the idea of the AP. Really interesting! Keep it Mog! biggrin.gif

Kinda did stop, but i was waiting for some info come and tell me how much time i have spend on something, Which was only 2 days aweek and i thought was going be 4 days. Since only 2 days i can still play Starcraft and do otherthings.

This battle system is very much like the FFXII battle system. And that rocks. I can tell that the battles will definately be fun. And the name Beowulf is one of the coolest ever. Great Norse/DMC3 reference, whichever was the one that influenced you. And 5 whole maps, meaning this will be a RPG campaign-ish thing.

Seeing as to how much of an SC RPG fan you are, I have faith that you know what you're doing. In truth, I'm looking forward to playing this map even moreso than finishing my own.

Yes Battle System is kinda like FFXII, still somethings in it are not like it. Battles are fun with random music and abilities are nice as well AP recharge. Beowulf hmm thinking more FFT. Really 4 maps map 0 = Pre-Intro with little gameplay. Ya like RPG-Campaignish themed map.

Of course i know what im doing i been doing this for long time since 1998, if i havent learnt yet then i must be damn moron. O.o oh you have finish yours happy.gif

like if you find an enemy in the grassy area you fight in a grassy area, and if you fight a enemy in a dirt area you will fight in a dirt area?

That would take up too much space. On the other hand, this would span several maps, so it is possible that he would do so...
