Can death counters for players 9-12, and past that be used and kept track of?

To be perfectly honest, I don't know. I think I knew at one time, but now that you bring it up, I'm wondering about it myself.

heh fair enough, in the meanwhile, perhaps you could help with this...

Can all "units" in the unit list be used for death counters? (such as Uraj Crystal, Right Wall Flame Trap, Data Disc, Mineral Chunk type 1, Left Upper Level Door, etc.?)

I tried using p9-12 DC as timers on a small map project recently and they didn't work at all... Maybe they need a unit on the ground to activate the passive extended units? I would have to do some tests or something.

No. When they patched EUDs they simply made the Deaths and Set Deaths triggers not work for players 9+.
Earlier it was possible to use them but the data that they used was not ment to store death counts. Changing a death count for a player over 8 could do something bad (or good), and it would be possible for something other than your triggers to change the death count.

Yes.

You can even use the death counts of units that you can't place on your map (at least not without making it crash) like the "Unused Zerg Bldg", the "Terran Marker", the "Unused Protoss", the "Independant Command Center", Start Locations (Though it's actually possible to put those in a map) and some others. Anything you see on the unit list is fair game.
