I was looking at the high dirt terrains in scmdraft2 and made this. This is my first terrain, and it can be useful...somehow...Please rate!you most definatly need to get starforge and download these
thats not too bad but you can see blockyness where the water hits the cliffedge. looks alright just try to improve the cliffedge and you should throw in a little more randomisation when you make the water face
Yeah, that is where I knew I messed up. I can't use Starforge, it screws me up
ehh? 4/10 I dont see much use for it other than a lighter sand colored beach
very bad...blocky...not randomized...Needs alot of work
1.5/10
very blocky... its ok i guess for a first try...
Try using different tiles for the already high dirt. Also, it seems like you are missing tiles at the top of the cliff. Try to look for a tile that is mostly high dirt, but has small right corner cliffing off.(kind of vague, but thats the only way i know how to describe it.)
Try to do something that is really useful, (ie: bridge-ramp-doodads) In game, i doubt the casual starcraft player would notice that you even did anything... But, say you did a highdirt ramp to ruins with a nice built in doodad, that simply cannot be missed. Good luck with your next piece.
why didnt u just do the whole screen high dirt that would make an ok beach scene with some trees n crap
1/10
Heres some things u can improve on:
1. Make the water to high dirt be more randomized, but smoothed together.
2. Randomize the heck out of it.
3. Blend the high dirt to grass.
You know there are good critics trained in the art of "Woodenfire Criticism" when I read the posts and I find theres nothing left to say...
Uh, just read wut A s T wrote except for #3 because that might not be what you want... Lol
