As many of you probably know there is a type of "hack," (if you can call it that) out for the Sniper Bald maps. It's called Sniper Assist, and it forces you to "Attack Lock" whatever your mouse scrolls over.
I was interested if anyone knows how to make burrowed zerglings that are unselectable to players, maybe Sniper Assist will still force the lock - but if players without the program miss click then it won't matter.
Thanks a lot guys.
try useing some disabled unit that might work
First of all, thanks for the fast reply.
Secondly, I have put some burrowed zerlings on the map to test this out - I disabled the doodad state for the lings but they are still selectable. The only thing disabling the doodad does it make it so I crash when I unburrow the lings.
Just make the lings burrowed for an unvisioned neutral computer player, that way it won't matter if they click on them. However, when they auto-lock it will. They'll also be invisible so they might yell HAX! A few dozen or more times.

Sprites are unclickable.

the only problem is that the hack wont lock unless it's a unit

OMG a HAX... lol. Try using vurtial health, but dont make the sniper invinclbe. So the HAXer will may lock on the sniper, but not his health...

Certain extended players have unusual selection effects, it is possible that you could use one of those. Also, you could perfrom a check each time before a sniper spawns, where they are moved to an area with a burrowed unit. If they start attacking it, even when told not to by an ingame message, then they are banned/crashed.
However, to really help here we need to know more about this particular hack, and how it functions, which is probably going to be rather hard to find out.
Lol the hack simply just well replaces the click. It auto-attack clicks on any enemy unit it sees. But the locations and burrowed zerglings most possibly would work, I suggest you just get the hack and test yourself.
To minimize the amount of lings placed on the map, is there any way I could make a location box around a ghost and have burrowed zerglings along the outer edge of the location that always move with the ghost? Because if I can have the zerglings each practically touching each other then there is no way anyone with SA would be able to move their cursor over the ghost without hitting the lings first!
If this is possible could someone explain how? I am trying to learn as much as possible about maps, but still being a newb it is pretty tough to actually put my ideas into practice

lol
ADDITION:
ALSO, when you are going back and forth to gain vision around you with your sniper - the lings would be out further than you are which could possibly give away your position; is there anyway I would be able to modify it so that vision of the burrowed units (most likely neutral Lurkers) only occurs when units are a certain distance from one another?
Thanks!
Make a mobile grid with them aroudn the outside, and add a trigegr that crashes starcraft if they kill a ling.
Believe me my friend, I have looked at all the tutorials. Some I understand completely, and others not so much. This happens to be one that falls under the not-so-much category. If anyone has the time and patience to help me understand how the mobile grids can apply to the surrounding lurkers please give it a shot

; it will be a HUGE help for me
