God of Death
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
A lenghty 1-player campaign about the nations of an imaginary world called Pharth defending themselves against a dark wizard named Anubis. This takes place within an alternate SC-world. The technology is medeval, but that shouldn't interfere with the actual gameplay.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Level one is complete.

-Ideas
All of the 1-player campaigns I've seen on this site have been dinky little "destroy the evil king" stories with a bunch of glitches. I have embarked upon a project that will take many months to complete, a project as long or longer than one or two of the original Blizzard campaigns with dozens of unique characters. I have one level done, am working on the second, and have come up with the gameplay concepts of three more.

-Terrain
Varies from map to map. The world of Pharth has many countriesm from the frozen wastes of the Frostlands(tundra) to the etherial sky-cities of Cybera(space-platform) to the agriculture-based Egypt-esque river vally of the Central Kingdom.(desert) and much more. Level two is going to be intersting because it will take place in a network of underground tunnels.

-Unit placement
Err...it's a campaign.

-Triggers
Err...it's a campaign.

Story

The story begins with the player taking on the role of a general in the elite military sect known as the Cyberan Dragonfleet, under the direct command of the great King Farr himself. These people ride dragons, folks! The player is given command of the 14th division of the Dragonfleet and its hero, Shamat Damus.(Jim Raynor) The player quickly finds him/herself thrown into action when the 14th division is transferred to the ancient floating ruins of Skyraka. They are to take up residence in a wier(Xel'Naga temple) and protect the sky-city. Upon arrival, however, the 14th discovers that the area around the wier is under attack by horrid monsters called the Non-Men; the fanatical warrior/slaves of Queen Lunop II of the Northern Realms. In level one, the 14th must capture a platform from Non-Man forces and then defend it from an additional army coming through a spirit circle.(Warp Gate)

That's just level one.

At the beginning of level two, the player actually takes on the role of a Non-Man shaman. Queen Lunop II apparantly did not know that her warrior/slaves were invading Cybera, and is quite upset when she hears that another nation, Mar'Tak, is under attack as well. Worried that the situation may get out of control, the queen orders the player, a Non-Man shaman, to take a small force of Non-Men to Mar'Tak to liberate an underground city of the native Insectoid people from rouge Non-Men forces. The player's forces will along the way be joined by Insectoids(Zerg) on a dungeon-crawling adventure through a puzzle-laden system of tunnles crawling with hostile Non-Men. The level ends with the destruction of an Insectoid queen(cerebrate) and the certain doom of that colony. The Insectoids are gratefull of the Northern Realms' help however, and a new alliance is made.

As the campaign goes on, more nations come under attack by Non-Men. Eventually, Lunop II discovers that the rouges are lead by a cult leader named Anubis, God of Death. The player goes on a series of action-packed quests to track down this so-called god.

Eventually, Anubis appears in the court of Queen Lunop II himself and reveals disturbing secrets about the history of the Northern Reals royal family, of the nature of Pharth, and about his own identity. He also explains that he is only one part of an ancient prophecy about how the end of the world will come: One of the heavens, one of the dead lands of the underworld, and one who bears knowledge of the true nature of the mortal realm. In this order shall come the three dark brothers who will damn the earth. Anubis explains that he is the second brother, the wone of the dead lands of the underworld. The first was the infamous SunMoon Emperor (-: who did his work three hundred years ago in destroying the history of Pharth. After his is done speaking, he narrowly excapes the queens superninja guards and returns to his home in the Frostlands.

The campaign ends with the death of Anubis. The story closes on an uncertain note-- two dark brothers have done there work, but the last has yet to appear.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

The gameplay focuses on melee, dungeon-crawling, and siege warfare. There are no cinematic levels; that kind of deep storyline material is handled in-game and in the briefings.

-What's new in your map that others have not done before?
Well, for one thing it's huge. For another, it's a totaly unuique and original fantasy world. I'm also figuring on ways to allow players to take a pilot(rider) out of the vehicle(siege equipment) or ship.(dragon/galleon)
