That seems... kind of strange? Movies based off of video games are never good, and I don't think that this is going to be any different.

Personally, I'd rather see a StarCraft movie, not only because I am a StarCraft fanboy (), but I think SC's storyline is more suited to movie form.

Plus, all those massive futuristic battles would be so much cooler. You know you wanna see a yamato gun laser thingy. Yah, that would rock.

That idea sucks, right up there with Alone in the Dark and Bloodrayne.

I think SC and/or WC3 would be awesome as a movie.

Oh well thats blizzard. They made it so its there choice it will proboly flop at the boxoffice or they might turn it into a pixar film for kids. Also did anyone noticed that starcraft ghost isnt there at "in development" on blizz'z website.

thats a Terrible idea....i dont think blizzard knows SC exists anymore, they neglected it i hate warcraft, if there gonna make a movie have it be Starcraft. better yet, Screw a movie. stop making warcraft shiz and start production of SC2!!

HQ that HAS NOT WORKED ON A GAME SINCE WC3:TFT...hmm wonder what they are working on?

Yeah maybe another Starcraft game just isn't ready to be announced yet? Maybe at E3, maybe sometime else? Who knows, just wait till Blizzard is ready.

Also heres how the movie thing works:
Often times some movie guys will go to a company and want to make a movie. The Developer will turn them down or say ok after doing some negotations.

If WoW is the big thing right now...why would they ask to make a movie about Starcraft? No they asked to make a movie about Warcraft. Blizzard didn't go to them and ask "Lets make a movie about Warcraft!". Legendary approached them about making a Warcraft based movie.

Hopefully Blizzard will be givin a very good amount of oversight over the project and that all of Blizzards games have Novels and very deep backstories to give a lot to work off of.

Blizzard announced the only game they would be promoting at E3 would be The Burning Crusade.

I know about the 3 buildings thing... Blizzard HAS been hiring alot of RTS designers lately... we can only hope.

Remember the Warcraft market has more players.
I couldn't ever figure why people would want to play World-Of-Warcraft, a game where every thing is designed to be balanced. Thats just my oppinion though. To me playing StarCraft is more fun because it is possible to take on multiple opponents at once and win. In World-Of-Warcraft you can only take on multiple opponents if they are a lower rank than you. The skill factor isn't as a high a priority to sum it up. I formed this oppinion from watching a level 60, highly ranked ladder player friend of mine.

Note: Rouges are overpowered in my oppinion because every class is already balanced. A rouge has the ability to stealth and kill people before they even have the chance to react. Therefore, it is extremely easy to kill masses without dying. If a warrior tryed to sneak up he would quickly be killed.

Funny nobdy replied to the halo movie rebuttle and the fact starcraft ghost isnt on blizzards website anymore.

Halo has Peter Jackson on it. So even if it does suck it'll look REALLY COOL.

Ghost has been in pretty bad shape for awhile. I wouldn't be surprised if they just quietyly cancelled it.

It's "awaiting evaluation of next-gen console preformance" or some such crap.

Peter Jackson is (I believe) just producing the Halo movie. Not directing. They don't even have a director yet.

Producers can do a lot if they're not lazy. This just means that he won't be in charge of EVERYTHING but he will get his word in on a lot of things.

Man this gay, why waste more money on making more warcraft crap. I want my starcraft ghost and sc2! I wouldnt mind if they made a Starcraft movie but I guess it all depends how they make it. I mean if they stick to CG it'll be alright cause imo putting games into movies with real people playing them would suck. However im curious to see how warcraft the movie would turn out.

They are not wasting money on it, they've made a ton of money off of WarCraft. StarCraft would be a risky move, since they haven't touched it in awhile and don't know how much people still care about it.

Who says they're making SC2? They are more likely to do D3, seeing as SC is so old. They don't really know how popular SC is anymore so SC2 could be a risky move.

SC is/was one of the most sucessful RTS games EVER. It's not like they wouldn't make any money off of it.
