I didn't know where else to put this so, sorry if its in the wrong spot. Anyway. I am trying to get this program working and all it can do is notes and "Generate" them. Yes I do have VB runtimes but I don't know where to put them. Any ideas?

ADDITION:
Are you ALL of you as dumb as I am?

I'm confused, are you trying to get Staredit running or SCMDraft/Starforge/X-tra Editor/any other editor I forgot?
Or are you trying to create your own editor?

Well... the very purpose of the program is to Generate notes smile.gif. I'll explain how it works:
When you run the program (sea.exe) you'll see 2 input fields, a small one at the top and a larger one below it. In the upper one you write the name of the person who sais something. In the larger one you write what he sais. Then click on Generate and, if needed, on Auto Time. Then you can copy the generated textcode to StarEdit.

The only thing why I might use it is for the Auto Timer. I think it's a great option, saves a lot of timing.

When you go to download it from StarEdit.net (here), it says it requires VB runtime. Where do I put the files?

I think you just install it... or maybe you extract it to C:/windows or something like that.

Put the files in the same folder as sea.exe (this is what you do with all programs of this type).

So I guess you can't use any of the other functions such as save right? None of those worked for me except the Start, New, Generate, and Auto Time.

Usually, whatever folder the program you run (not its setup file or whatever) is located, that should be the same folder where the .dll files and so forth go (unless the help files say otherwise).

Oh if that is your problem, then I don't think that the creator finished all of the systems.
