OK, I just want to get the TRIGGER for this thing that I want, if thats ok with you fine, wonderfull, helpfull people...

So, Im makin a map, and In a certain area, I want it to go black, basically like in a mass game when you "turn off the light" so you can stack, like that dark...Then want ti to bring the players character to an area, but change the player controls, so it'll show "greyness" on the map, but you cant see you character, see what im saying?

I know the triggers to move character and switch controls and blah blah blah, I just dont know how you make a CERTAIN area black...I dont want the whole map to becom dark, just this part...I hope this isnt to hard that you cant help me...

--Thank you so much for helping me, if you do!

Use the trigger "Turn OFF shared vision for player (whoever)" to turn off vision for the current player. Then, you need a computer or another player to give vision in a certain spot. Use "Turn ON shared vision for player (comp)". Finally, create or move a unit for that computer to the place you want to see.

The only way to only 'turn lights off' for only some of the map is to turn lights off (ie 'unvision' yourself), and then place map revealers or units for an allied vision player in all the areas that you want to see (so everywhere except the bit you want dark)

The same idea of what was said above,

On the side of the map where you want it to be seen place triggers for yourself and a computer, I like to use computers!
AI Script turn vision off for player 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, and/or 6
The computer lights should either be 7 and/or 8 so if someone leaves they will still be there.
Need more detail PM me or ask here!!

There is a delay time for turning off and on lights...

Start the game with no units of your own!

you can use the idea of spider mines owned by a neutral or an allied computer player as lighting in certain areas. place in the areas you want vision with. they'll act as small lamps or something, with not too much revealing.
