I'm not sure if this is a technical problem or I did something wrong... but whenever I try to save the map that I'm working on, it says that it "Could not open the program C:Program Files/Starcraft (and a bit more stuff)" for writing. This is kinda strange, but if I press save, it works. It just keeps saying that. I don't know if I should be worried or not, oh well.

That error sometime occurs because you are either playing the map you are trying to edit, or the map is open in another map editing program.

I forgot why but it also happens even when you only have that editor open and not running Starcraft. It still saves so it is all good. I haven't had this error before when I opened two editors because it still saves error free.

Yes like they said, sometimes it's because the map is being played or opened with another editor
Sometimes music has something to do with this too...i remember that i had this error because of music problem, added music on staredit and saved in sf then erased music in sf, then when i tried to open music in vanilla staredit it crashed, so it begun, after a couple of savings it started to give me that error and after some other savings map was saved as corrupted! Oh No! but anyways i never knew how to fix it. ...the map's still corrupted sad.gif

it happens to me for no reason XD but i have solved thsi problem
it is a random map error it usualy happens with sounds or if you change editers, if you hav SF open teh map in SF and it wil say somehtign in some wierd code, then save it and its fixed, this sometimes messes up your map but the only problem ive had is sometimes it deletes your sounds just reload um

Thx, and I have another question thingy. Someone said that it could be the music. I do have a lot of music, but when I open my map again my Sounds section is empty, though the triggers involving them are still there. Is this normal?

you might have opened the map with starforge or something, what you can do now its open with starforge and delete everything about music, the physical files and the strings other wise map will end up corrupted like mine sad.gif

Open it with WinMPQ (can be found in the DLDB in the modding tools) and delete (listfile).
