Ok i am trying to make a new turret defence it seemed to be ok in single player everything was in line and working accordingly... so i wanted to test it on the net to see if everything worked... when i played it everything was out of synchronization...

i have only got the original map so tell me if i need any other map editer.

well, what type of things were out of place

You have to tell what kind of things are out of placew with more detail and add hyper triggers to your map

Set it onto a computer

copy to 62
Comment:hyper triggers
preserve trigger

copy the whoole thing 4 times and I would download either X-tra and StarForge or SCMDraft

The game acts much differently in single player than in multipler. If you make the map to work well in single player it likely won't in multiplayer, and vice versa.

like in single player i have it so a a shuttle is killed at exactley 31 game seconds i have made sure its perfectly times and it works then in net play i gets there a 20 seconds

yup and hyper triggers will make your triggers run through faster, like instead of running through the same trigger 1 every 12 seconds it will run 2 every second!

And everything on batte.net will run faster. In single you may have had it on normal speed but in b.net you might have had fastest or fast, that would cause the difference in time as well.

i sorta understand also any reason why it won't centre view in net but will in single player i might aswell get this issue out the way too

is your trigger set up like this one


Condition: whatever the condition is

Affect: center view for currnet player at location x
preserve trigger
comment:center view

is it for all the players or just one player?

are the allied players you have set on random start locations, if they are you could be in player 1 then automatically start as player 2 or 3 and it would work for you. What you should do is have a trigger for every player then make it. Tur random starting locations off.

Player 1 checked off!

A: Center view for current player at area 1

Pleayer 2 checked off!

C: 50 seconds

A: Center view for currnet player at area 2

same for 3 4 5 and 6 just different areas I am assuming!

make it at least 50 seconds that way if it somehow skips it could be 51 seconds and it wouldnt go off!

Test it when you have all players with the center view thing first

Lucky for Hippy-Devil that will likely not fix any problems with the map. Hyper triggers are off topic.

Center screen only works for the player running the trigger, same with display text. If you want it to go for all the players all the players need to own the trigger. Most likely all of your problems are because of trigger ownership.

Oh yeah you should change the condition to at least 50 game seconds like 7-7 said.

Yea i have indivudualised all the triggers u might see 1 or to for current player triggers but there like for unnessasary things really i have set it to atleast 50 seconds it no works still

are you sure you are centering viwe for current player and not centering location to another location or unit?

this would make it not work, other than this I dont think I can help you, either you have messed something up in the triggers or I am missing something stupid. and i doubt the last thing I said!

when you send your next post it says attatchments.

click on browse and find your saved map, if you played it on starcraft it will be under, My Computer/C:/Program Files/Starcraft/Maps/ur map should be here!

if you dont know how to read that save as your map on your desktop, then send to me!
