I'm actually sure that this system has been asked about in here, however, due to the too many topics I didnt find it... Dont kill me..lol

Anyways, the battle system is pretty much takes the actual terrain and makes that the b attle field, and just that one screen. Allies inside teh battle area would be able to help, as well as enemy allies etc. The units of course wouldnt be able to leave the field...until the battle is over or they run.

I've a general idea of the triggers, use center view, make observers or some other units around in a perimeter of teh battle... but I don't exaclt quite know how to put it all together...

Ya, though we are experts we arent miracle workers and mind readers, you still have to tell us what to help you on, you said that you have an idea well start with that and make it a complete map! or ask us!

I think I know what you're asking, though I might be COMPLETELY wrong. If you want a sort of turn based battle system, I can help with that. On your normal terrain, once you bring your unit to the location of an enemy (the enemy should be in location), use the Action Teleport (Move) all units from location (enemy) to location battlefield (battlefield location could be one area where u constantly fight with all enemies). Then, give all units at that location to just ONE player (computer). If you want turns, you could have a civilian in one area to choose attacks. When you do that, you could choose whatever action you want, depending on the attack (i.e create unit at location, kill unit, cuz it makes it look like an explosion. Then set health of enemy to a certain amount). And don't forget that when you START a battle you should center view at the location Battlefield. Also, when you do that, create like one observer for each player at location battlefield, unless the point is to be cloaked. If there is no observer and you are fighting a DT or cloaked unit, it will be annoying. When the battle is done, send you're unit back to the location of the previous enemy (where you met it) or you will be stuck for the rest of the game! Don't forget, give all units back to their previous owners. This would work best if each player has a pre-determined character. That way, you can say Give all (units that you already know) to Player 1, and the same thing over and over for all the other players. Tell me if I'm right and if you need more information biggrin.gif !

AH, its kinda like Random x said, but unlike the FF3 rpg, you dont teleport to another smaller battlefield for battle, but rather uses the actual "world map" terrain you're on.

Sucks how things are so hard to explain.. Btw killer, I need help with the triggering for the battle system. Hmm .. I'm actualy sure that theres a map i had that uses this system...

Oh... You mean like in Chrono Trigger (the real game, not the map) that type of thing, alright. I'll do some research when I have time.
