Open the Special Editor (1 of the 5 included in the download) & you should be able to directly stack the minerals on top of each other. You also can make them hallucinated or partially overlapping.

you can try using scmdraft which allows stacking to be much more easier and organized. if you do download that, just disable the option to allow stacking on the units, and click multiple times on the same spot...

you can try using stacking with the xtra editor, but they wont stack exactly on top of each other, but rather has some overlapping or out of shape look. the special mode of the editor allows buildings and units like mineral patches and vespene geysers to be placed on top of each other.

Or, just not make fastest maps. That's the best solution.

xtra can't stack anything. Everything takes up one little tiny square. Use SCMDraft of StarForge.

I've never used SCMD for stacking, but in Starforge, it's easy. Just place the unit and right click. Click on stack and enter a reasonable number. Most are below 50.

You could use FartyEdit if you prefer a StarEdit program. You just have to watch the unit count in the bottom to make sure everyone has the right amount.

That's not stacking; that's putting stuff really close on top of each other. In SCXE Special, everything takes up 1 pixel (as said above), and you can't get 2 things directly on top of each other.
