Okay, alot of people have been nagging because they don't get messages when a file is deleted, denied out of the DLDB.
Maybe there should be some kind of page that you fill out when you delete or denie a file that sends a copy of the reason why it was deleted or denied to the member that submitted it.
Instead of having the DLDB keepers do it manually, since they never do it anyway. Just write up a simple script and throw it in there to make it send out messages.

Slyence (8:39 pm) -- Toa: There are no more automated messages.
Toa1337 (8:36 PM) -- Well i dont get yes or no notices from them so it's hard to tell if its accepted or not, what happened to those pm's you got when it was accepted or rejected??
I send a message with every denied file. However, a script would certainly make my life easier.
The problem is, maps are denied for a variety of reasons. A simple all-purpose denial message really wouldn't work.
Exactly, when you click deny on the file a new page comes up with a message box where you type the reasons of denial. You click "Send" and the message goes to the users PM box and the files is deleted.
Also, did they ever fix that bug where when you accept a file it increases your post count by one?
Maybe there could be a script where it just says "file denied" That would be easy enough.
Then they would be bugging the hell out of the DLDB keepers asking why the file was denied.
I know if my file was denied, I would want to know why the file was deleted, wouldn't you?
Maybe if you Private Messaged them there would be a slight chance they would say why it was denied. They probably would ignore though.
I know when I denied maps and didn't give them a PM on why it was denied, the hounded and hounded me untill I messaged back.
Sometimes I even sent out messages that said it was denied and the reasons why and they get all pissy at me.
For now, just send the PM and in that PM give them a reason on why it was deleted (EX: Map was corrupted). After that, you need give no explanation tot he user.
True, but like Voyager stated...

I guess a job isn't really a job if you don't do any work.

haha, that's like saying, "I leave my rubbish lying around instead of putting it in the bin, because it gives the cleaners employment".
I support the implementation of this script, though.

Was life made to be easy?
No.
If the member whines, let them. I know it's annoying, but there IS an ignore button.
True Kellimus, true.
But, when the ability to make life easier is there, one must use that tool to their advantage. Don't worry guys, we've been working on an automated Message system in SeNv5 to do this sort of thing automatically.
And also, I highly advise that every Staff member does not ignore anybody. It's our job to moderate and ignoring people will just close our windows of doing our job.
But you know what I mean.
