Does anyone know of an Anti-Map Hack method that doesn't require the screen to go somewhere? We are all familiar with the Sprite Anti-Hack but it can be avoided and it sometimes crashes non-hackers for some reason. If you know of a unit/method please tell. I currently use the random screen drag method, but it's annoying.

This one is a very old one. Have a bunch of ranged units that can fire over things beside a cliff. They cannot see the units on the cliff because they don't have the vision so they can fire but when they use a map hack then they will see it which will kill that unit. So you can then make a trigger when that unit dies to make the hacker lose.

No, actually it's not an old one. Please don't make something up, you have no idea what you're talking about.

Map Hack allows you to see everything, you still have Fog of War and etc. You just can see through it with MH. Units still act as if there is Fog of War, that's how 3 state meh is even possible, if it worked how you imagined 3 state would be practically impossible.

He wants to avoid putting a crashing unit in a piece of fog somewhere. Most crashing units like "Independant Stargate" do not work as a method, for those living under a rock.

The only other way to accomplish this is to find out how to use EUD conditions, which I am out-dated with.

Ugh, I suspected so... I just didn't want to consider it an option until it was confirmed. X_x [/begin crying]

Still though, if there is another method... tell!

Protoss marker is the exactly what I said I don't want to use (A unit required to be looked at) Please read the entire thread. Well played fix Moose, I just hate it when people answer me in the forum and have no idea what they're talking about. And... if there is another method that doesn't require UEDs tell me... I will be working on the UED method until then anyways.

Maybe if the people actually HELPED him, he wouldn't be so frustrated. MOST units vs hacks do NOT crash. The protoss marker is not a valid option and will not work against a map hacker.

As far as I know, there is no other significantly effective method.

Isnt DEAD already looking for something like this, something really good and can protect maps and stuff. He is giving a huge reward too!
You must be thinking of this. You're right it's about a map protector... but this thread isn't even remotely related to map protection.

You could always use anti-hacking programs.

That made me giggle. There is no such thing. There are no known public "anti-hack" programs. And this is for a map aswell. Oh and... Inspecteur everytime I go into this forum asking for help... I never get replies, perhaps I ask difficult questions, other than the "HOE DO I CHAN COLUR 4 PALYER///?!!1" and I am very happy I didn't have to say what you said. You were the ONLY person who said something intelligent and actually understood what I was asking. Thank you.

Oh and I act like a [jack___] because I hate when I go to a help forum and never get any help, I am frustrated. Also because I don't want the fool to respond to someone else stupidly like that again. I make it a pet peeve to flame the hell out of someone who doesn't know what they're talking about. That and people who have strong opinions on something they know nothing about, like Americans and presidential issues.

Edit: Ugh, I hate those censores, words have as much meaning as you add to them. To me the concept of 'vulgar' language to exist is the equivalent of bad luck. To most what vulgar language is to me is language with more meaning and more emphasized. I mean, look at medieval England. English was considered low class and vulgar. French was the language of the nobles. I guess we should all speak French, aye?

Best method i found is to place a sc crash unit from xtra editor and place it where the players would usually not be able to see it soo when the hacker is on and looks round the map he then looks at the item and crashes himself then everyone and laugh at him for justice hahahahahaha.

You might as well close this topic, Veta, since a ton of newbs such as Marandule1 are spamming it.

You're right... it's getting no where, I'll do some of my own research and check sprites I could use.
