Okay here is what happens:
I am playing a fun game of starcraft brood war version 1.13f on bnet and i kid you not, JUST WHEN I AM ABOUT TO RUSH WITH MY WHOLE ARMY (playing money maps) SC flares white, and "unexpectedly quits" to mac os 10.3.9. The last game I had I defended from a huge hydra rush and still had 185 guys ready to go. Then it crashed as I marched into their base. crap!!! (not the original term...)
I posted it on bnet open tech support:
http://www.battle.net/forums/thread.aspx?f...mp=1#post428232And I googled it:
http://www.google.com/search?hl=en&lr=&saf...elp&btnG=SearchBut I have found nothing and am pissed off because it's my favorite game and I cant play on battle net!
........HELP!!!

Might be the mac version of SC. I've got XP and I've barely had trouble with the game crashing except when it was caused by independents or w/e. Too me, it sounds the games engine is overloading (it happens).
Save the 500 bucks and buy a desktop, they are soo cheap no a days. You can get a good one for 250 if you look at the right places!
Actually, Im saving $1500 bucks and getting the black Mac Book and I'll have it by the end of summer. Hopefully SC won't crash on it either.
why the mac? =/ buy a PC.
Mac's account for ~2% of desktop/notebook computers, so of course there are going to be more problems.
I always seem to have a lot of random crashes on Starcraft. Maybe it is because I've messed around with it a lot but I always crash. There really isin't any immediate solution to your problem.
I have the same problem with my hp windows xp computer. Every so often, my entire game closes down. There is nothing to fix it nor is there a way to fix hosting connection (have cable and cannot host unless using lat trick). Blizzard will never do anything about it cause they only care about WoW currently.
...
No, there are ways to fix it, what are you talking about?

I have tried everything possible. Nothing seems to fix the close down program problem and the only way for me to host is by dsl instead of cable which i cannot get.
If your talking about that error where Microsoft asks you to send them an error report and such, then that's fixable.
And, I know many people who can host on cable, including myself. It's called port forwarding?
Just because you can't fix it doesn't mean it's unfixable..
Sweet talk your disc before you play it.
