Helm's Deep Defense
user posted image

Have you ever wanted a Uruk-Hai to just walk past without attacking you?
Did you ever care about the actual fortifications of Helm's Deep other than a gate hinge?
Well now you can!

Features

-Player Interface (Updated: 5-30-06)
At first you will choose whether to defend the Keep or the deeping wall. If you want to change in-game, it will cost minerals.
Four options to build your defense from:
Heros-Get one unit to train and level up against the forces of Isengard.
Rohan Soldiers-You command the Rohan army, from the militia archers to the high guardsman of the king.
Rohan Fortifications-Need an archer garrison for some Rohan Soldiers? How about a blockade for a level?
Lorien Warriors (requires you to choose the deeping wall side)- You can also command the forces of Lorien to do your bidding! Needed for the defense of the Elven Camps at the courtyard (behind wall).

Stages: Light or Heavy Uruk Soldier spawns every three seconds
Every two levels one more unit is spawned every three seconds.
Plus the actual levels that spawn a certain amount of "special" units

-What's new in your map that others have not done before?
A defensive outlook of Helm's Deep, where there is no attacking (apart from the attacking levels) and all you have to worry about is not letting those nasty little Uruks in the caves.

If you end up going jungle, I would take a visit to the terrain forums to see if you can make the walls actually look like walls that arent 65%dirt and dont have metal plating at the top like every other helps deep map.

Lol. Yeah... just changed to Twilight! w00t.gif

Update:
I thought about the attackers and I came to this conclusion: At Helm's Deep the defenders didn't really have a chance to take a break like in normal defense games during in-between levels. So I made it where there is a continous feed of Regular Soldiers, like in that one Marine Defence. It was kinda hard to explain, so in the Player Interface section it doesn't really explain well. Just think of that one Marine Defence, where there is a continous wave of marines (The Uruk-Hais), but yet there is still the regular levels. Also, Halfway through the map it changes from Stage 1: Light Soldiers, to Stage 2: Heavy Soldiers.

Tell me what you think of the idea,
empty

P.S. If you read the Details section and the attackers list, you'll see level 17. I can't think of anything that would go there! I thought long and hard about what Isengard has, but I just couldn't think of anything. So I decided to ask the SEN community! Please come up with ideas, for I'm out of them!

P.S.S. And don't say a troll. Or a nazgul. If you do, I'll eat your children.
