i have a situation.

i know i will need a map size bigger then 256 x 256 for thhis rpg im making

is there any size bigger that wont crash the game when you load it?

Suggestion: Use multiple maps.

that would be a possiblity but, when u get near the end, you are able to travel back and do things.

If using multiple maps isn't an option you're just going to have to make the most of one map. Make areas smaller, reuse areas, remove areas, etc. You can fit more on one map than you might think possible.

well i want to make it look professinal. some battle areas must be big and its gona be more of a world. like a put down terrian for an entire world. and you skim through places and stuff.
