Really the only problem i'm having is getting the mineral patches to be more than 1500 minerals. It's imperative that i fix this bc its a micro map, theres no room for 15 mineral patches in every base lol. So how do u stack minerals? Also i'd be interested in making a version of it as fastest map.

Any help is much appreciated.

Why you'd want to make a "fastest" or "micro" map is beyond me (I'm all gung-ho for traditional stuff), but since that's what you're going for, here's what to do:

Download SCMDraft and enable stacking under Options->Units, then stack away.

Also, what kind of map are you trying to make? If it's just a Melee map with 15 stacked mineral patches right beside the main Command Centre of each players' base, then this should be in the Melee Map Making section, and not UMS.

Hint: Don't make fastest maps, they're bad.

To change the resource values, select the mineral, hit enter to go to properties, and change Resource amount to whatever you want. To stack, I recommend SF. Select the mineral, right click, stack, and type in however many minerals you want to stack.

Hah, in my haste I missed a point that Noober made, thinking I beat him to it. >:\

The thing that disgusts me most about bnet is all the Micro and Fastest maps. They're just blech.

If you want to get practice at making Melee maps, just make traditional ones with an even amount of 1500 mineral patches and 5000 gas geysers at each base.

Well, the max isn't 1500, it's 50000. You can change the resource amount if you select the minerals, right click, and go to properties. To stack, you need SCXE or Starforge. With SCXE, you'll need to go into special mode and take the minerals and spread them around on top of each other. However, this is not as good as StarForge, where you simply right click>>stack.

EDIT: Oh sorry I got sidetracked in the middle of this post and the other guys beat me disgust.gif

First of all you need to go to unit properties (double click on the unit) go to amount of minerals and it goes to 50000, stacking is available on StarForge, SCMDraft2, special X-tra Editor (not as good)!

Actually, the max amount of minerals that you can make a patch have is 65535.

My bad only off by 15575, something like that, I just checked and mine only goes to 50000 when I type in 99999 it fixes itself to 50000, so as far as X-tra editor I am right. biggrin.gif

For making a fastest map it is already too late I am guessing, to do this you would need to start your map over again and you need to have the first unit on your map be as the following:
[center]
For 2x Map Speed
Place any player 13 unit (other than a map revealer) anywhere as the first unit on your map.
-or-
Place a player 14 Map Revealer anywhere as the first unit on your map

For 4x Map Speed
Place a player 14 scarab anywhere as the first unit on your map.

This unit MUST be placed first.

By fastest he means those noob maps with 50 quintillion stacked minerals (which is kinda the reason why he asked how to stack)

I don't really think Fastest maps are challenging, but you're entitled to your opinion.

I am guessing that you arent going to start this one over to make this a fastest map game, but good luck on this map, If you think that this is a good enough map post in Maps in Production, or when your done, Map Showcase!

It's not a fastest map, just unlimited minerals. bc u cant play a 2v6 micro and have 6000 minerals.

ADDITION:
BTW how do u post a map in showcase?

You just add the map as an attachment or submit it to the downloads database and then link us to the map.
