I loved the story in SC. It's just so cool. HL2 was pretty cool too, but it just wasn't as good.

Metal Gear Solid 3 for the win.
Final Fantasy X was awesome, Knights of the old Republic was good. But I have to say FFX's wins overall.

Eternal Darkness or Tiberian Dawn had the best storylines of any games. For those that don't know Tiberian Dawn is the first C&C game.

I dont think that the storyling is that important for the game to be a good fun one. I sometimes buy a game mostly for just playing on the internet. Like Starcraft for example, I didnt even finish the game, I beat Terran, I didnt go to Zerg or Protoss and in Brood War I havent done any of them. Online is saweet.
I also like Yuris Revenge which I have beat and I think the storyling to that is very good, I dont know Starcrafts as well but thety are pretty similar by having three main enemies and stuff like that! I like Yuri's better though, I like them both still!

I am gonna harass golden by saying that halo's story line was the best out of the bestest of the bestest. Halo is the best. :3
But personally, I like the story of "Nexus: The Jupiter Incident". A good game also.

Final Fantasy X. The voice acting gets you into it and gives you that "story" feel. You can hear emotion in their voices instead of the non-voice acting games where the ppl are like "OMG YOU KILL HER?!? MY EYES ARE BURNING LIKE WTFZ!! YOU CANT HEAR MY EMOTION SO THIS IS REALLY STUPID TO YOU$!@" That was something like Cloud said when Aeris died. Also the motion acting in FFX showed more of their expressions and crap like that. Overall that pulled the story togeather to make it make sense and have that real emotional pull on you.
Ppl that cried when Aeris died in FF7 = retarded.
