SCENARIO:
My cousin began making an RPG map. It was awsome and he had finished it about 1/4 of the way when he e-mailed it to me to see what I thought of it. And I thought well of it.
Then, a couple of days later, a power surge in his neighborhood messed up his computer monitor; it stretched out and only about half of the screen could be seen. This has still completely halted his StarCraft playing and progress on his RPG.
I sent him an e-mail asking for permission to finish it for him, using the beta version he sent me. It seems he has not been checking his e-mails and has not answered for over a week.
My question is this: I really want to finish the RPG, but I don't have his permission to do it and it is his, after all. Should I go ahead and finish his work, making the mission briefing say "made by <cousin's name> and SunMoon_Emperor" or something of that nature? Or is it just wrong to mess with his creative property without his permission, even though he can't give me permission because he does not know I want it because I can't contact him?

He's your cousin right? Just go ahead and help him finish it. I'm sure there'll be little conflict between you two, since you most likely know him quite well. Considering you're blood related to him, he might appreciate your help as well. But it all depends. Are you two good buddies as well? If not, well...it might be best to leave it alone.

I would finish it, but not show it to anybody exept the cousin. Ask what he thinks about it - if he allows to spread it, go ahead, if no - sorry dude.

Umm if you want to, save another copy of the RPG, work on it, ask him and if he says it is okay, be like ok I am done, if not, then you have that copy for him or whatever, and if he wants to do it just give him advice and ideas on it that you did with yours. Then just put both your names on it!

you should call ur cousin and ask or u should go finish it and when ur cousin gets back to playing sc show it to him

This is telling him what he already knows!
Just finish it and save it under another file name then tell him you did, if he is not okay with you doing this, then just give him the one that you didnt finish.

Call him, but if he's ur cousin I'd finish the map as long as you know what ur doin. If he ends up ok w/ that just give him credit in the breifings or something... If he lives near you work on it a little and have him come over to see what he thinks or something
