Well i've been trying to get more familer with StarForge then i already have. I've opened up some maps and noticed that some of them in their sounds have a string version of it but the normal version is gone but the sound still plays? and no it's not a sound from the MPQ.

Also is there a way to have StarForge alos be able to open other MPQ Archives and select sounds from there? Does Pro edit or Urberation's compress take away the sound file but leave the stringed version of it?

How do you know the normal version is gone? The only sure way to know is to use an MPQ archiver tool.

I opened the map with Starforge and i see the normal version of the sound gone but in the strings it shows the sound.

proedit compresses all chk files or w.e and all wavs too, dont tamper with the string editor though, sometimes it deletes strings
