can an expert mapmaker please answer this question. jsut what is the string limit? i've heard so many different "facts," i jsut don't know what to trust. some say that the standard 1024 limit is the absolute max. others go on about how the 1024 limit can be broken in SCMD2. some say that 1024+ string can only be used in comments and can be glitchy.
The map file that Starcraft uses does allow more than 1024 strings in the table. SCMDraft2 can be used to break the limit of 1024 on the traditional editors and the only limit of that would be the limit of the size of integers. uBe2 and uBe3 both support maps with more than 1024 strings.
These maps do work perfectly on Starcraft.
