I think it's a good idea to have a notice like this, but I think that it can be made clearer as to the purpose of the forum. As I understand it, MMA is regarded as a place for people to ask questions. I have seen several threads that do not ask questions (but rather try to share knowledge or offer help to noone in particular) moved to other forums because they weren't asking questions. But if this is the intention, I don't think it's very clear in the info box. Perhaps the wording can be improved to make it clear that MMA is really a place for people to ask map making questions, rather than a generic "knowledge sharing" place?

No, the intention is get people who don't know what they're talking about to stop posting and spamming.

well i saw a couple posts got deleted today. it was all useless information.
i think they should take the mineral ability on that forum if people are just going to just not help anyone and get minerals out of it.

Mmm.. I understand that, but my point was that if you leave it as it is, someone may get confused, if not offended, if their post is meant to "share knowledge" but you move their topic away on the basis that it isn't asking a question.

I've seen some posts removed just becawse they didn't have a short answer to the question asked, and they were not accurate.

Map Making Assistance is for people to go in and ask questions about bugs, instrucctions and how to do stuff, and pretty much everything regarding about how to make a map.
Now, the reason we don't want people posting threads that don't ask a questions is because we have a Concepts forum for that.

Yep. What I'm saying is that the info box makes that aspect of MMA ambiguous. If you're going to have an info box, you might as well explain that MMA topics are meant to ask questions (as well as telling people not to spam misguided information).
