In this thread we shall talk about rap music, discuss our favorite artists and reccomend some new ones. Also, if you are going to try to flame atleast try to back up your flame and not with the usual "All they talk about is pimps, ho's and money" or the classic "You cant even understand what they are saying". If you do that then well, your just proving how ignorant and stupid you are. Because in this thread, we dont talk about 50 cent or anyother lame mainstream rapper. biggrin.gif

First I will start by reccomending some of my favorite artists:
Wu-Tang Clan
Andre Nickatina
and
My new favorite: Bronze Nazareth.
Currently my rap music stash is up to 1500 and I plan on adding more good rap.

My favourite rappers are 50 cent, Mike Jones, and any other crappy mainstream artists I can get my hands on.

I don't like today's rap music. Sometimes I think asian rap is funny, especially when you see them live.

The rap in the late '90's was the best in my opinion. Snoop Dogg, Dr. Dre, Xhibit, Ice Cube, Too Short, Eazy-E, Nate Dogg, Warren G, etc...

And that was the REAL gangster rap, not this crap these 16-18 year old rappers talk about.

Meh, Snoop Dogg was the biggest let down ever. He was an awsome rapper in the 90's and then he comes out with this crap like drop it like its hot. And I just busted out my old Eric B. & Rakim, daamn this stuff is good.

I don't personally like rap, the new rap is just all the same and then they make like 200 remixes of the same song, just with a different rapper in it singing a different part. The old rap was a lot better.

Actually there are still alot of great artists, alot more than in the 90's. You just wont hear them on the radio thats all.

My personal opinion but, 50 Cents isnt such a tough guy. He grew up around my town. Queens, NOT BROOKLYN OR BRONX. all his rappings sounds the same and he is really getting lame. My skool used to listen to him, but now hes garbage

Ppl should listen to T.I.

Although 50cent is a pretty bad rapper he has some catchy beats. I dont really like T.I. I think more people should listen to Wu-Tang. Matter of fact; I introduced my entire school to the Wu. biggrin.gif

The only 50 cent song which actually somewhat got my attention for a while was "In da Club." I don't know why, but it did. Actually, it was the only rap song that did.
