Use this tutorial instead: http://www.staredit.net/index.php?tutorial=103

Player 14 is more detailed than that "2x & 4x Map Speed" tutorial crap.

Once one person gives them the tutorial, I dont think it is that necessary for more people to give them the same tutorial. Even though its there fault that their dumb and cant find it themselves!

If you place a map revealer it only speeds up the animation. Placing an interceptor does the 2x map speed and some units will not attack. Placing a scarab does the 4x map speed and most units will not attack.

That's false. A map revealer is 2x, scarab/interceptor are both 4x.

7-7, it is not the same tutorial. The one given was complete crap.

Scarab is faster than interceptor. Map revealer only speeds up animation. I have played with this alot.

EDIT:
Ok, I will test to prove it. I will place a unit with nothing, map revealer, interceptor, and scarab and make the unit travel the same distance and I will time it on "Fastest" game speed.
No P14 unit:
6 seconds to travel the given distance.

Map Revealer:
6 seconds to travel the given distance, but the zergling is "faster". It speeds up the ANIMATION only.

Interceptor:
3 seconds to travel the given distance; 2x.

Scarab:
3 seconds to travel the given distance; 2x.

Fine.. but I am still right about Interceptor and Map Revealer. And you are right about Interceptor and Scarab being the same.

It must have varied from the last patch that I've tried it on. Sorry Farty.
If it had not changed from a previous patch, I would have been correct.

As far as I know its always been like that.. (I had heard that the interceptor was 2x and the scarab was 4x so that is what I had assumed, I had never actually compared them like I just did..)

So the animation of the unit running speeds up but the actual speed of the unit doesnt, kinda like IE vs Fx animation?
