Alright... I'm trying to use the Sheild Battery's glow effects so I'm trying to disable it but nothing happens.
-Trigger-
:Players:
P2
:Conditions:
Current player bring at least 1 sb to location 0.
:Actions:
Disable doodad state for current player.
Preserver trigger.
I'm using that trigger but nothing happens to the sheild battery... I'm using hyper triggers too... is that screwing it up?

First of all

Shield battery it's a protoss building, protoss buildings require to be near a pylon, or else be enabled before disabling them. Or they will crash.
Second

You need to have something that reveals the unit, like a detector to make the unit cloak.

Remember that you can only disable 1 unit per trigger and i don't think shield battery will glow crazy.gif

You can disable more than one unit per location... If nothing else works, try putting a player number instead of current player for the disable part.

Could I use the pylon aura sprite to power the buildings or does that not work?

dude you dont need to power toss buildings to disable um... also you can disable more then 1 unit per trigger/location but yes, you do need detector to view it to cloak it.

um dude they don't crash... i disable cannons without pylons, gateways, stargates.... they DO NOT CRASH i have made my own list of crashing because they are never right, so i made my own personal oen i tested EVERYSNGLE UNITS AND EXTRA UNIT EVEN SPRITES or crashablit y disability and so on. DISABLE PYLONS will crash tho... if you want ill test without the pylon RIGHT NOW.






Nope doesnt crash i make maps that way, no pylons but disabled.

no. i tested three ways

they dont crash unless the patch might of screwed something up

maybe the 1.13f fixed...something because when i did that list, zillions of time ago they did crash when unpowered....

Enable it to make it not require the pylon. Disable it to cloak it. Enable it to turn the little glowey things on.
If you build or do anything with buildings, it will disable it so may want to preserve the Enable.
Building "glows" only come up when they are enabled. Stargates do it too. wink.gif

EDIT:
And for the record, the only protoss buildings that crash ever are the warp anchor, Nexus, Pylon, and special buildings.
You can disable and enable protoss buildings as much as you would like and they should not crash.

Placing a pylon near a protoss building will do the same as Enable Doodad State. Removing the pylon will be the same as Disable Doodad State, but it does not cloak it.
