Mine would be that Australia was in it this year, finally I get to cheer for my team

and whats even better is that we beat Japan 3-1. I'm pretty happy right now. Too bad we play brazil next

Some sign of World Cup life! The three surprises that I saw was the Ecuador-Polan match which Ecuador won 2-0. Portugal-Angola with Portugal only winning by 1 goal. Last but not least the tie of 0-0 between Trinidad and Tobago-Sweden.

I don't think I'll even be able to cheer on for Canada

they suck too much. USA lost 3-0 to Czech Republic

The biggest surprise for me was that there was some country called Togo, and that it is actually competing in the World Cup. Seriously, who else here has ever heard of that country before the World Cup started?

I don't really like to read maps and memorize the country names, that's just not my idea of fun.

My biggest surprise was trinidads game where they tied, it was also kind've funny to watch the croud at the end...

1 side of the crowd was crying and pitching a fit, and the was partying like they won the tournament!

Actually, USA is pretty good now compared to before, went from rank one-hundred and something and made it to 13th

USA is ranked 5th right now. I don't think the USA will manage to be the best team and win the World Cup but you can always hope :{ I'm still waiting for Canada to qualify for the second time and loose in the preliminaries.

The Czech Republic lost to Ghana and USA tied with Italy 1-1. We got a chance!

If USA beats Ghana and Italy beats Czech Republic then the USA goes on to the second round. Two of Ghana's players are suspended for the USA/Ghana game too.

My biggest surprise is that everyone I know gets into Soccer.

On my big list of enjoyable sports, Soccer is in 2nd last, just above baseball. The only reason everyone I know gets hyped up all of a sudden after not giving a rat's ass about soccer for the rest of their lives is because of the mob mentallity of the world. Soccer sucks balls and they're all trend whores.
