Well recently iv been getting EGM for free off some internet promotion. And this is pretty much my first gaming magazine, and I was wondering what people on SEN likes, I pretty much got that list off Amazone.com...

Nintendo Power, every issue carries an excelent running joke. Sometimes 2. Most involves Chuck Norris, or pirates.

I do the same as you, free issues of EGM baby!
In reality I've gotten EGM and Nintendo Power, but then I realized I can get this and so much more for free at gamefaqs or gamespot. Thus, I don't believe in gaming mags.

I like EGM and CGW. If I had to choose, I'd probably pick CGW since I'm more of a PC gamer. I didn't see CGW up there though, so I voted EGM... (Yes, I'm blind...)

I'm going to have to go with PC Gamer. I love there magazines. They always list all the games ready to come out for the PC before any other magazine knows. They always have some kind of great news to read and I'm the kind of guy that loves great news.

i agree the magazine comes out with real old information. So when I real them im like do I have to read this? However, they are good bath room read lol.

I get GameInformer and EGM, EGM is a terrible magazine. It's incredible biased and stupid (Try reading the responses they make to people giving negative feedback about the magazine). But their cover stories are normally good, so I get it for that. I like GameInformer though, nice meaty package, and also fittign to my tastes. Like how they gave True Crime NYC an 8.5, finally someone understood my love for it.

True crime is my favorite game for the Xbox. Since Xbox 360 came out it has to be Oblivion. I can't wait for a True Crime to come out for the 360. That'll be bad ass.

I've never heard of Nintendo Power. Although I have never really read gaming magazines while the Nintendo was popular. I don't think anyone has... Well, except for you of course.

I haven't enough experience with NP to give it a definitive grade.
But PCG definitely justifies the $40 US/year I pay as a regular Canadian subscriber, if only for all the world-exclusive first peeks they give us.

The only magazine that I've ever ordered was Nintendo Power about two years ago. I liked those the best. I haven't really read a gaming magazine in the past few months though, but I did like GamePro.

This way when I read it I'll know every game I read about will be for PS2 therefore I don't start wanting another system such as Xbox or Gamecube so I can play 1 good game I read about. Also it keeps me up-to-date with PS2 games, what's good and what's bad.
