Staredit Network -> UMS Assistance -> Hallucinations that last forever

Is there a way to make a hallucination last forever (as in, the energy won't run out) but they can still be attacked.

Besicly what I want is for when the civilians die, instead of blood coming out and such, I just want them to poof away like a hallucination. There are a ton of civilians for the same player. (Yes, I'm making a War of the Worlds map.)

I doubt thre is any way to make Hallunications not to run out of energy. Exept maybe modding, but that's not for this forum.

Dang. I guess I can try to make it so they all die before their energy runs out.

Or remove and create new ones.

Or have it so that a location follows them and when there is no civilian in that location, a hallucinated scourge is killed at that location. You have to use hyper triggers for this option too.

Nah, can't do that. There is a huge crowd of people running away from the tripod that is chasing them (and in my version, I try to make it look like a tripod, not a damn archon) and it is shooting at them (1 hit ko's) and they poof when they die (like WotW). I'll just have to make it so it shoots in set places, and time it so people run through there *sigh*. (and I thought this was going to be a quick map)

I'm not certain if it will work, but you might make it work by setting the hallucination's energy to full (edited to add) with a looping 'modify energy' trigger. I'm certain that hallucinations are not detected by conditions, but I'm uncertain of whether effects apply to them. Furthermore, there's no way you'd be able to check if an object is a hallucination, thus applying to all spellcasters as well; so it this is a last-ditch solution at best.

No, you can't change hallucination's energy with the Modify energy trigger.

nope, there is no way for u too keep a hallucination forever except for adding unit energy to the unit, it still might not work

And how would you do that?

I think he was talking about the 'set unit energy' thing. That doesn't work.
