here's a link to my project

DragonQuest - The Four Player Adventure Spanning a World

please keep in mind that this is a SINGLE map... and it's sc... there's no series, and there will be no trailer or any sort of advertisement. I will be updating the information at the topic there as I finish it and/or progress further into the map.

Please post your thoughts here, PM me here, at KC, or PM me at KC... or even say your thoughts on b.net (DemonicDragon@USWest)

if you read the information given in that link, you would realise that the map is no where near finished.

anyways tux... I was being too lazy to go and copy it and repaste it here. There is a lot of text...

you can read over what was posted at KirbyCraft's forums and tell me what you think of the information. If you find anything out of place... please let me know.

I used a scm->jpeg converter to get a pic of the world map. I will post it here for you all to look at.

oh... and tux... I'm not trying to outdo you or anything... I just want this blasted map out of my brain! I must make room for college learnings tongue.gif

sidenote: ranting.gif these things are downright funny

Oh great first Tux says his map is the best RPG StarCraft has ever seen, which was surprisingly arrogant coming from him. Furthermore he said "that's a lot coming from me" which makes it even more arrogant. Now we have some guy whose trying to make a good RPG, and he says HE'S NOT TRYING TO OUTDO TUX. What the Heck is the community coming to? One person is not the supreme honcho of map making that no one else is allowed to out do. In fact, it should be your GOAL to out do him, then maybe people will stop being such fanatics.

Beats me. Maybe map makers from other communities think we're competitive when we're not?

Arrogant or not, with +2 months spent doing solid planning, a week and a half to make the trailer + advertising, the last 2 weeks working on the functionality demo (70% done), and probably a good 2-3 months for the actual content coming up, this is easily my most significant project to date. Sure, you're welcome to challenge my arrogance, but until you have something to show for it that's equal or better then your word doesn't carry much weight. As far as I'm concerned, considering the time and effort I've spent so far (and still have yet to spend) I'm not giving this project enough credit if I'm NOT being a bit arrogant.

Anyway, I don't think it's a coincidence since my trailer that up to 5 people have stepped up to either attempt their own or "announce" their uber rpgs just in time to get attention. Not that people haven't announced their works before, but the timing just occurs to me as a bit convenient. Bleh watever.

I've had this map being worked on for a long time (at least I was planning it) the planning dates back to before Kck created Snowbound.

just recently I dusted it off and decided to complete it.

I only posted it here recently because I just joined and I figured I would get input from people here. The reason this topic was created so close to Tux's A&O topic is that it was HIS A&O map that indirectly led me here.

I know there are a good number of RPGs talked about right now, but mine has nothing to do with Tux's release and the fact that mine is of a completely different style from A&O should have stated something...

Oh well, leave it to people to assume one thing without looking into it first.
