Wow, thats not very funny. Why would you made a ad like that. Its like push away the black, and now let the whites in... I mean sure you can that to a system, but showing it as a real person thats just plain racism. Lol, once again good job Sony .

It does seem very racist, but I don't think they ever intended to do that. I guess there switching from there old color to a new better looking color. I like the color white on it.

Just think about it, if the hand held system was black would it still seem racist? Yes, it's just a color of a race it doesn't mean it's racist.

Honestly, there isn't really anything wrong with it. It's just white. So what? Just because it is the shade white doesn't mean that it's being racist or anything. I guess people are trying to say it's racist because it has the word white labled on the ad.

It doesn't appear to be meant to be racist, it merely is a comparison between the two sharpest contrasts: black and white. I think you guys are reading too much into artistic interpretation. Who was the photographer?

That is not racist at all. Some people just take things way too seriously. Of course if the PSP had been white when it was created and they came out with a black one with the same commercial concept, nobody would be complaining. It's the same way with how black people can call us crackers, but we can't say n.gger.

I think that's not racism, they're just making the image of the new product all in white. It will help them to push the product up.

It's racist because it's saying the new white psp will be better then the black version. And they're comparing this to race and how white people (apparently) are better then black people.

But Merrell makes a good point, except that's not how the ad is, and it's suggesting white people are better then black people. And it's being marketed in europe not the US, just to tell you.

And if the people were blue and yellow? Is there a difference between these two instances?

The white PSP were out long time ago, it came out like a month or two after the PSP release or might of been there the whole time. But it was only in Europe and Asia.

I, like many other people here, think this is not racist. I think its sorta foolish, they just changed the color to white, nobody was trying to be racist.

Well, it did catch my attention, if that's the goal of that ad. But I'm not going to buy a PSP.

I mean, I really don't care about white/black devices, but when they associate the colors with people, I think there's a problem. People will look at the white color, then the white psp, then the white person. Who knows if people will associate the white person with the white psp?

I mean, you have a message that says white is coming, but why have the white woman choking the black person? It's further dividing people into "colors".

Would it be fine to make a PSP yellow and put an Asian person on it? Or a PSP brown? What the hell...

I think its rascim just because its associate with a white and black person. And in that picture it seems like the white person is disgusted with the black person. I mean if they got some asian black and white person and one guy had a white psp while everyone else had black, and everyone is like "wow" then that isn't. But in that ad there is a black person and a white person, and it feels like the white person is shoving the black person. I mean sure it might not complete be rascim but I feel like it is in some degree.

If it was a black person doing it to a white person nobody would care.

Well maybe they're saying the PSP White is better than the PSP Black and just took the colors of humans to represent it. I don't think they were trying to say that blacks are inferior to whites..

I really love people sometimes. They honestly believe they made something a certain color to offend people rather than because it looks good or to make is distinguished from other items.
