I only have the halo demo, so I was thinking of making the Blood Gulch arena

First the host has to choose a Game Mode.

Game Modes
  • Random
    -Randomly chooses for you
  • Slayer
    -First player to get 25 kills
    -Players start with a Plasma Pistol
  • Capture the Flag
    -First team to retrieve the enemy flag the pre-determined ammount of times.
    -Players start with a Pistol, an Assault Rifle, and 4 Fragmented Grenades.
  • Team Slayer
    -First team to get a pre-determined ammount of kills
    -Players start with a Pistol, an Assault Rifle, and 4 Fragmented Grenades.
  • Oddball
    -First player to have possession of the skull for 2 minutes total
    -Players start with a Plasma Pistol
  • King of the Hill
    -First player to stay on the hill for 2 minutes
    -Players start with a Plasma Pistol
each mode ends in 15 minutes if objectives not complete.

After the host has chosen a Game Mode he chooses a Game Mod.

Mods
  • Random
    -Randomly chooses for you
  • Normal
    -2 warthogs, 1 banshee, guns in normal spots on each side of the map
  • Tanks
    -1 tank 1 warthog 1 banshee and guns in normal spots with a rocket launcher in each base
  • Tanks Ghosts and Turret
    -1 tank 1 ghost beside each base, and a plasma turret (shade) on each base and a rocket launcher in each base
  • Sniper
    -you can only use sniper guns to kill people, and use melee combat, no grenades
  • 3 weapons
    -You can carry 3 weapons, and guns normal place
  • Covenent vs Humans
    -1 base will have covenent weapons, and vehices with shade (plasma turret), while other side has human weapons and vehicles, sniper rifles in cave and hill
  • Unlimited Ammo
    -You have unlimited ammo for every weapon and no reload time, grenades are also unlimited, except for plasma grenades you have to get them yourself
Powerups
  • Invisible
    -You are invisible for 30 seconds
    -Found in the center of the arena
  • Shield Boost
    -you have extra shields for 1 minute or until used in combat
    -Found in the center of the arena
    And
    -Found in a cave
  • Health Pack
    -Heals your health
    -Found ontop of each base
*Your shields automatically heal if not under attack for more than 10 seconds, it takes 5 seconds to heal fully from 0%

Weapons
  • Pistol
    -Shoots 2 shots every 3 seconds, 12 bullet ammo. Most damage short range, but pretty accurate using its scope
    -Max ammo 120
    -Found ontop of each base
  • Assault Rifle
    -Shoots 12 shots every second, 60 bullet ammo. Most damage short range, very unaccurate long range
    -Max ammo 600
    -Found in each base
  • Fragmented Grenades
    -Explodes 3 seconds after thrown, kills units in short radius, heavily damages units close by, flips light weight vehicles.
    -Max ammo 4
    -4 found ontop of each base
  • Plasma Grenades
    -Explodes 5 seconds after thrown, sticks to enemy units, very useful and effective damage against vehicles, like tanks and banshees, very short damage range
    -Max ammo 4
    -4 found on high walk on each side of map
  • Sniper Rifle
    -Shoots 1 shot a second 4 bullet ammo, instantly kills standing still units, and men in vehicles
    -Max ammo 24
    -Found ontop of each base
  • Shotgun
    -Shoots 1 shot every 2 seconds, very good in close range combat.
    -Max ammo 60
    -2 found ineach base
  • Plasma Rifle
    -Shoots 4 plasma guns a second, pretty accurate against vehicles, and units far away
    -Battery, 2 shots = 1%
    -Found in each base
  • Plasma Pistol
    -shoots 4 shots a second, charges up in 4 seconds, cools down in 4 seconds, charged shot depletes all shields if hit.
    -Battery, 1 shot = 1%
    -1 charged shot = 4%
    -Not found in normal mod
  • Needler
    -Shoots 4 shots a second, has up to 20 needles, shoots and sticks to a target or wall, then explodes and conflicts damage to nearby units.
    -Max ammo 80
    -Not found in normal mod
  • Rocket Launcher
    -Shoots 1 shots every 2 second, has up to 2 rockets at a time,.
    -Max ammo 8
    -Found in middle of arena
  • Fuel Rod
    -Shoots 2 shots a second shoots and explodes plasma fuel.
    -Battery, 1 shot = 4%
    -Found in middle of arena
  • Flamethrower
    -Shoots lots of fire, at nearby enemies, conflicts massive damage.
    -1 canister lasts 8 seconds
    -Max ammo 4 canisters
    -found in the cave
  • Gravity Gun
    -Covenent weapon, sends units flying, flips vehicles, ejects all drivers and passengers, sends the vehicle flying
    -Battery, 1 shot = 2%
    -Not found in normal mod


*Gun damage will be random, and depending on the gun, and range.

Vehicles

    *Every vehicle can run people over!
  • Banshee
    -Can fly, shoots duel Plasma Guns, and Fuel Rod Gun
    -Fuel Rod cools down in 4 seconds
  • Warthog (Jeep)
    -Can carry 1 passenger, and 1 turret shooter
    -Passenger can shoot using his current weapon, and throw Grenades
    -Turret Shooter, can use the Machine Gun on the back, or the Rocket Launcher, depends on the Warthog
  • Scorpion (Tank)
    -Shoots, using cannon, reloads in 4 seconds, uses maching gun, which is very weak
    -Can carry up to 4 passengers, who can use their current gun and throw grenades
  • Ghost
    -Very fast vehicle, shoots duel plasma guns.


*if vehicle is not in use for 30 seconds, it is placed back in its place, it has started in.

Further Notes
I might have your minerals as your shield percentage
and your gas as your health points so you know how much life you have left
I will use death counts to keep everything in tact.

miscellaneous
You will be able to switch teams to keep stuff even
If you kill 4 of your own team players you are banned.
Host can restart or choose a new game whenever he feels like it. Even after some1 has won he can choose to restart w00t.gif

oh, yes it is first halo... the only demo I can find for mac. If you have a mac and want to play it. Here is the link, you need a Mac OS X

shield system is easy...

It will require 100 triggers to have it set perfectly..
then... 5 seconds.. heals 20% each second... but if i use death counts 12 deaths per second thats 60
100/60 meh around 2... so around 50 triggers to heal..

healing will go

condition:
minerals are exactly 0
actions
set deaths of a unit1 to 0
preserve

condition
if death of unit1 is 0
action
set deaths of unit2 to 120 (10 seconds)
preserve

condition
if deaths of unit2 is atleast 1
action
subtract 1 deaths of unit2
preserve trigger

condition
if minerals is 0
if death of unit1 is 0
if deaths of unit2 is 0
actions
add 2 minerals for current player
add 2 deaths of unit1 for current player

then check it again, skipping the timer.
will take a long time... but i pulled off copying 300 triggers all basically the same before
in an interceptord defense.. had 100 levels

complicated triggers is my specialty, have you seen apeiron? or Bomb Squad?

ADDITION:
I am really good with triggers, but terrain wont be easy to do for a mac user...

I was thinking about making a halo game a long time ago. I made the life display on the minimap and it regenerated and everything but it was only 1 player. How are you going to pull off the ammo and such? I don't think that you can use the EUD detection thing.

Everytime you shoot it subtracts a death count from the ammo you have in your gun.. then a reload time will be a few seconds with the ammount of amm you have with you.

remember I am shooting interceptors... not using the units.

I might need an EUD detection thing for the shooting maybe..
if you have 10 health you are shooting and it will heal you back to 20
so each time you stim it will start shooting, then you stim again and it will stop shooting

instead of selecting your barracks.. and build a marine thing..

Oh, so like if you build a unit at the barracks it will launch an interceptor at the enemy? And if your interceptor hots the enemy then it does damage? Controlling interceptors with triggers can be a pain sometimes. tongue.gif

all i know, is it will flip a vehicle.. empty all passengers.. and send the vehicle flying..

hmm, would you rather have. automatically shoot at closest enemy when you fire,? or use a dropship, to change the person you are aiming at?

I am also going to have, if you cant see a person you cant shoot in his direction, so if your hiding he has to find you.

I think that I found a flaw in your system. When you order an interceptor, I think that it orders all of them in the area to the location. So it would seem as if the bullets are chasing you instead of flying straight. I'll try to test this more.

It will move the interceptor to your centerd location on your guy, 1 interceptor at a time, then center a idfferent location on the enemy, then order it to move there. then with the other interceptor, it will center a different location on the enemy. probably up to 20 locations per player for all the shots...

yes it will take a long time, but I don't look at how long it will take, if i do at least 2 hours work on it a day it should be done by early august.

Blood Gulch is a multiplayer map for Halo. Sidewinder is another multiplayer map for Halo. It is huge, has lots of cliffs, and is really cold with snow and evergreens and ice fields. It happens to be my favorite. smile.gif

And as for my suggestion? A banshee, which is way up in the air, shouldn't be able to run over ground units.

hmm, is there a way to detect a cloaked unit? because cloaking might work..
to go to ground..
