I own a Sony Ericsson W800i, but not too long ago they apparently released another one called W810i. I got interested in this new cellphone and I wanted to compare these to each other, so I entered SonyEricsson's site and I went into their "compare phones"-option, where I simply just compared the W800i with the W810i. And then I noticed that there are several things that W810i is missing and W800i got and vice versa, so I am going to list them here;
This is what W800i has and W810i does not.
- W800i has longer stand-by time
- W800i has longer talk time
- W800i has EMS (Music and pictures in short messages)
- W800i has SVG Tiny 1.1 (Fitting pictures to the screen)
- W800i has Online Content
- W800i has pholyphonic ringtones 40 voices
- W800i can synchronize with Apple
- W800i has an event calendar
This is what W810i has and W800i does not.
- W810i does have 3D games
- W810i has EDGE (Faster streaming and downloading)
- W810i has Access NetFront™ Web Browser
- W810i has a navigation key
So to me it actually stands between a pretty strong W800i and the fair weaker W810i. W800i has simply just dissappeared from the stores in Sweden because this newer and "better" model has came to birth. So why do you think SonyEricsson do this, they're removing a better forerunner and make a weaker phone to be the follow-up of it?

Apart from the battery life, I think the rest of the "feature" downgrades are simply misrepresented...
For example, both phones dont have a "VGA Camera", they just happen to have a superior camera... I think the rest of the "missing" features are similar... (Somehow, I highly doubt the w810 doesnt have polyphonic ringtones for example, it's probably simply under a different name...)
On the note of Ericssons, check out the k800, which to be honest, looks niice, its not under the "walkman" brand, although I doubt it can't play music... However, it's under a "Cyber-Shot" brand, and has a
