So I've seen a lot of really good waterfalls.. and the one I was looking for had a bridge going across the top and used next to no sprites, while still managing to look perfect. If anyone has any waterfalls they have made or ones they have found somewhere on here, it would be great if you could post them. I can't seem to find what I was looking for anywhere. The only thing I found in my hunt was stuff like this:



I don't know if you guys still sit around here and bicker like fools about who "owns" a god damn doodad. No one owns anything, there's nothing to "steal," it's farkin terrain. I should hope that this childish phase is beyond SEN now, or I'm not going to get anything out of this post.

Remaking someone elses blend that they made up and not giving credit is copyright infrigment.

I want to elaborate on the subject of statements that are so absurdly irrational that it is almost impossible to believe that any sentient being could have made such a remark. Clearly, a fatal flaw in judgement has taken place or the processes of the concious mind have failed utterly. Knowing that such a thing in the human mind is utterly impossible unless some sort of mental retardation has taken place, there is only one other answer: the person making said comment is not entirely human himself. Now, as far as I know, humankind has yet to interact with non-human sentient species. The closest thing to what I am describing on Earth is, a small child. Children are not yet "fully" human, that is, their brains have not completely developed, and thus any totally ridiculous comments are accurately attributed to their malignant influence. Now, under other circumstances it would be appropriate for any productive adult to guide a child through the process of embracing mature intelligent thought, but unfortunately the internet allows contact with these creatures without the ability whatsoever to improve their thought capacity. Pardon me if I sound cruel by asking that small children not post here, but I can do nothing to increase their functionality and thus the only remaining solution is to deny their presence.

I would attempt to rationally argue that such a statement is incorrect, but doing so gives it far too much credit. However, I am reminded of the fact that doctors had at one point in the past, patented their surgical procedures, thus disallowing other physicians from using them. Needless to say, this conflicted with keeping people alive and the patent office was eventually forced to deny them their much desired copyrights.

If i stole WoodenFire's terrain it would be stealing (seeing how he blends so easyly so good) if i drew a rock. and u coppied that rock, its not really stealing

I'm not sure what Universe you live in where taking WoodenFire's terrain would even be an object of discussion, but if you are refering to, for example, taking all the terrain from his CDRPG map and using it for your own gain, that is not something considered in "good taste." Utilizing certain elements such as "custom doodads" or certain blends from said map in any other map should, however, not be considered a crime. There is a certain limit to how much one can utilize from another source before it is considered copyright infringement. In this case, I could take anything I wanted and it's not copyright infringement, but we're not really talking about that.



First I told DT_Battlekruser that he was a "freaktard" for posting unhelpful, inaccurate information. Then when he edited that out of my post, I made a point to comment in another post that he had better stop acting like the other newbies and stop posting false information in a map making assistance forum. By then he had deleted his inaccurate information, though he continued to argue that everything he was saying is true. At this moment I have a third post, in reference to an inaccurate comment made by a third party, that they should "take a page from DT_Battlekruser and delete your newbie posts so no one knows you don't know what you're talking about." His reaction to that was to do nothing.

I'm going with Desperado on this one, but I'm not going to type pages about it. Simple and clean, it's like this:

The reason you cant copy right dirt is cause you didn't invent it(nor can it be created, but still...) Since you didn't make the tiles for the terrain, the terrain isn't yours. It's like drawing Jesus and copywriting Him is yours... It just can't be done. Anyways, my ten cents is up...

This kinda brings another subject to light, ACTUALLY CONTRIBUTING TO THE THREAD AND NOT SPAMMING!!! This subject wasn't made to argue the infringment(or lack therof) of terrain copywriting... The subject, however, is to post waterfalls that you made or found. This is why I'm going to post a waterfall in my next post...

ok quick question, what are those glowing things they use for the falling water becuase i searched for 40 mineuts and could not find them i would really apreciate it if someone would help me out.

The glowing things are the eldfire.grp sprite. You can find it in StarForge or SCMDraft 2.

where would i find the so called eldfire.grp sprite?

eldFire.grp is a hard one to find in SCMDraft 2 because it doesn't use that name.

StarForge -> Sprites -> Sprite Mode -> Bullets -> eldFire.grp
SCMDraft2 -> Sprites -> Unknown -> Unknown -> Unknown 03



That's what the undeveloped mind of a child proposes, but we don't have to take them seriously. My entire point was you'd have to be mentally retarded or a small child to be so foolish. Small children of course can be ignored with the hope that one day, through the awesome power of a high class education system, that they will grow to understand their mistakes. The very fact that they are here bothering us is a testimony to the fact that their guardians' parenting abilities are not good enough to handle the situation. Let us open our hearts and pray that these disillusioned youngsters find a place in our society.



Kudos Voyager, you have proven me wrong, you have posted useful information. Though I'm not sure why anyone would want to use StarForge.

Whats stupidy has to do with children lol? That was pull question, if someone would say yes, it would be like you can't use extended terain at all if you don't keep discovering new blends.
