I would like to say I have made a basic ramp expansion and it's a bit blocky but it's the best I could do through hex editing. I am on a mac so there is no terrain editor for macs and I just hex edited it to my liking and I'm proud of it. This took 1.5 hours to make.

Not sure how to rate a hex-edited peice tongue.gif But I suppose that would take some work. Nicely done.

Thank you all for your comments. Now with this knowledge I will try to make a terrain editor. But first does anyone know where there is a tile list?

Hex editing is editing through hexedecimal this:

Macs can't convert the cv5 files to editable ones or else I would already.

Why? Macs can't run exe files.

he sounds very serious about it.. and gj with that i got no idea how to hex edit but 1.5 hours is rly long compard to like 3 minutes of starforge time to do it or LESS so to make it easier you should get a terrainer to help u out on maps

Because I want to do something challenging, and I might be abvle to make a program for macs to edit terrian.

Looks like a unbelievable load of work to me I mean how long does it take to get every right piece in the right position all with hex? Pretty confused.gif

If you did it all just with Hex in 1.5 hours your like w00t.gif

*Sniff* Be thankful that you were graced with PCs guys. What would take us 90 seconds to do took him 90 minutes. Your problem: you used a Mac.

Other than that, I admire your determination for working with that hex stuff for 90 minutes and actually deciphering what some of it means.
Report, edit, etc...Posted by Gigins on 2006-07-29 at 04:25:18
Can be done better. Having a mac is no excuse, because you can get a PC instead.

2/10 *rating the terrain not how it was made.

Thats pretty neat.
I would like to see this mac terrain editor your talking about making. wink.gif

I can respect this more, because he did all the work himself, I'd like to see somone on a PC do that without Starforge or SCMDraft or the like. The only difference is that you've gotten someone else to do most of the work for you.
