Introduction

Player is an inhabitan of one of 10 planets. Every planet has a stargate and players objective is to conquer other planets or ally them.




Features


-Player Interface
Player has his own planet at begining. He should play as melee but he has to use stargate to get somewhere. Primary units are ground. Flyers are quite expensive (as in Stargate) and there is  possilbe to fly to another planets with hyperspace.

-What's new in your map that others have not done before?
- Stargate teleporting
- Flyers as something costly (not for example to have tens of ships) and ground units are the main

Not to be critizing but you give us no information what so ever upon your map except that your making it. Not what this forum is for tongue.gif

Needs a bit of background information, ideas, concepts, updates, beta testers, demos, and screen shots, and you should get no problems.

Try using the Map Production Template.

Good luck, I love Stargate, and I haven't really seen a decent SG map out there.

well actually ive perfect a rly rly rly rly nice stargate system were its as copied from the show as possible after i copy all the 400 more triggers ill post it up and let people make stargate maps off it while i make a rpg based on the stargate sg-1 idea biggrin.gif

I had an idea to make IRIS too...but it would be too big advantage for Earth

I remade Terran on human race, Protoss on Goa'uld and Zergs are here Wraiths.

Massing map...yes and no. You can make in peace and silence big army and than send it through stargate on any planet. Or you can build a few ships (not for mass) and send it through hyperspace to another planet.

I don't think it would be possible to make a really good (at least similar to the show) version of Stargate, unless everyone was on the same side (probably Earth). Otherwise it just becomes who can mass more of the biggest units (regardless of whether that means ground or air units). Also, the wraith really don't really work in teh same map as the Goa'uld. The wraith are in an entire different galaxy.

Yes, as I said, there is not everything similar to show. As planet names - nothing is not similar to real SG planets

I've seen a Stargate map that uses Warp Gates as well, in which a few dropships are used to unload units in a specific order to punch in the code.

How are you doing the Gate system in your map?

I suggest having dropships/shuttles/overlords avaliable to fly units between planets, but makeing them god-awful expensive.

how many planets do u have on planning my system makes it available to 12 but u can always add or sub from that. its rly nice but if u want it ud have to finish of the coping and editing triggers pinch.gif

Heroes are in my plan

Gate system...just dial planet, go through and close (there is no 38 minutes limit). After that is everything as in show - you cannot dial opened gate and so.

Transporters will be too...but it will be expensive and than you will have to pay for hyperspace to get to another planet.

There are 10 planet. More planets means that one planet is smaller - more than 10 planets - too small planet.

btw any propositions how to make that Earth IRIS?? smile.gif

just make some unit in the gate. and a trigger doing if the unit is their they die instead of transport biggrin.gif . and my gate system:

•safety features to prevent someone gating too u when ur gated out
•like 30 secs gate will stay open
•if a unit is send thro the gate b4 the time is up it restarts the countdown
•has the water affect but tis red not blue
•the thing comes out and back in like when the gates activate
•7 symboles in transport
•it shutdowns down and tells u, u have dial a unavailable planet or wrong symboles

and ya i rly want u too use this!!! the triggers all done for 4 gates to work to any planet u just gotta finish the other 8 planets or 6 in ur case

  • I have gate open still...30 is too unreal - really it is 38 minutes but it is too long, o if will some open the gate and wont close it, that one who wants to get there must get there by ship and close it, then dial gate there - i thing so it is better

•ok u know the their is space right behind the warpgate to put a archon and constantly kill it too give off the blue color affect so u can tell its on.

•um u have to see the show too know this one. pretty much the bubble comes out and back in right after the seventh symbol has been encoded. like too show its opening the wormhole

I know show very good...I just did not understand you :-)

Opening the gate i have indicated by changing of beacon...but this is good idea
