hey guys. as you are aware, im creating a 2-6 multiplayer game of poker, which abides by all the standard rules and consequences, and ive just finished designing a new virtual card system, consisting of 56 cards, 7 of which are generated at random and displayed as text to the player. so you get the idea, this is going to be a nice map!
however, im not the best terrain editor, therefore, id like some map making assisstance and/or ideas on how i should create my terrain.
consider there are just 2 small control platforms for each player, therefore i have alot of open space at the moment! i want to make it more interesting. maybe a minimap picture will look nice.

A minimap picture is a good idea. Or you could use the free space to write the name of the map and the author.
If you go for the minimap you could easily take a jpg picture with the picturemapper and convert it to a map. But this fills the whole map with the picture so I'd edit the picture in a programm to add some pure black where there are control platforms.
Then you convert it to a map and then you use SCMIE to extract its terrain. And then you open your poker map (or better a copy of it) with SCMIE and you import the terrain data. Remember all your current terrain will be lost but not the triggers and or locations and so on. But as far as you just have a little terrain you will lose thats the best way to add a minimap picture.
Ok I've just made you an example on ICE terrain. Open it with SCMDraft because X-tra messes with black terrain. You can do whatever with this example. But mainly its just to see what the black borders in the picture were for.
