Staredit Network -> Terrain -> Jungle Index
Report, edit, etc...Posted by Desperado on 2006-07-20 at 23:14:07
This is an extremely useful compilation of many things for Jungle terrain. It is very unfinished but I am probably too lazy to work on it anymore, as I don't often use the things I have not finished.

Here's one I did that is quite similar to yours:

Some similar, some different.

That has some unique stuff I've never seen. Most of that is garbage though.

Yours as well. Some of the stuff in mine needs to be removed like most of the airplane junk in the top left and some ofther worthless things I used to like when i was just starting. What is going on with all of those random mud and grass tiles in your map? Kindof a waste of space if you ask me...

I wasn't saying it was worthless, I was saying it was garbage. At least half the stuff in yours is hideously blocky. All of the flipped versions of cliff face doodads in my Index are pretty useless too, though I've found that some of the ones that don't really fit with Isometrical terrain are useful for blending in scenarios where you don't follow the Isometrical pattern exactly, such as waterfalls.

I'm pulling apart all of the tile types, making it easy to create custom patches of grass or dirt in sizes that StarCraft does not allow. I've already used this to give my roleplaying map some more vibrancy. Originally I had made a lot of sample mud that was mostly symmetrical, but that proved useless, I'll be replacing that with more natural looking formations.

Uh... I wasn't getting mad or anything... I was just saying that most of what you had was exactly the same to what I had; garbage.

I'm not mad either. I'm just carefully wording my responses to be both friendly and sharp jabs at your heart, so that whatever your mood is, the post accomplishes it's goal. I combined everything that wasn't blocky in yours and put it into mine. The file at the top is now updated slightly.

The very purpose of this Index is to give everyone the oppurtunity to use lots of custom doodads and blending which vile people keep to themselves.

Yes, what IS this shadow grass you speak of?

I'm beginning to have serious doubts about the existence of shadowgrass. Either that or it's something totally lame and you're calling it "Shadowgrass" to make it sound cool when it's actually something very simple.
Report, edit, etc...Posted by Inspektah-Deck on 2006-07-22 at 13:44:15
Your mindset obviously cannot handle the sheer power of shadowgrass therefore, you do not see.
Report, edit, etc...Posted by Desperado on 2006-07-22 at 13:50:39
I'm gonna be pissed if this lame terrain is your elusive "shadowgrass"

Those things, obviously roots, would be way more useful if you could build on them.

Nope thats not it. I'll put it in the terrain map im gonna post in a minute.

And what praytell do you consider "shadowgrass" on there, because nothing looks like anything new in the grass department to me.

Its in there, you just have to find it.
