Staredit Network -> UMS Assistance -> Interceptors attack
Report, edit, etc...Posted by IsaT on 2006-07-21 at 10:19:26
I jus recently started making a map, and it coming along good, until i realized a major problem with my entire premise of the map. The interceptors aren't attacking.

I'm using these triggers out of SF

RunAIScriptAt(Set Generic Command Target, location);
RunAIScriptAt(Make These Units Patrol, location);

but they just move there and don't attack. I have browsed the forums and have seen many people saying this is likely impossible to do.
BUT i have heard from a very reliable source that it IS possible to do, but they haven't been able to find the map they made with the triggers on it...
SO, if anyone out there knows how to do it, please share smile.gif

I dont think intercepters can attack without reloading in the carrier.

That's to control interceptors, not make them attack. I don't think you can make them attack without the carrier being around.

Yes, and if you make a carrier attack a target, and then teleport it somewhere else, the interceptors try to get back into the mothership.

Maybe try to make the carrier attack, and then order him to move (fly) away ? But I doubt it will work.

Maybe try creating a Carrier with a burrowed unit under the Carrier so it attacks it. When the interceptors come out remove the Carrier. Maybe that will work considering that the interceptors would be yours.

The interceptors would promptly explode.
