okay, I'm making a game, and I'm trying to make the beacon change colors. I tried 3 ways so far, 1 - create/kill, 2 - put them somewhere and make a move trigger.
results - 1 - nothing ends up showing up and theres the unit unplacable message. - 2 - the red beacon shows up and red and blues' beacon are gone from the move location but it stops after red... and yes I did put wait/preserve triggers.

There shouldn't be a problem with removing a beacon and creating a new one, i think - as long as there are no units in the way. Try removing all the units at the beacon location, not just the beacon, before you create the new one.

Make sure that the location that you want to place the beacon on is actually valid buildable terrain - try preplacing a beacon there and making a trigger to replace the preplaced one to make sure that isn't the problem.

Have you tried giving the beacon from one player to another? That seems like the easiest way to exchange players, and therefore "change colours".

Also, the beacon cannot be created when the location is on unbuildable terrain.

Trigger
Description:
Moo
Players:
¤ Doesn't matter
Conditions:
¤ <conditions here>
Actions:
¤ Give exactly 1 terran beacon owned by <first player> at ____ to <secondary player>
¤ Comment 'kewl'

You can build on there. Do you want it rapidly changing colours, or what?

I did all of that, and it IS placable cause the red beacon still got to the terrain. so its not illegal terrain, and I did what you guys said =)
