Should we add a section for outdated bounds or remove them?

Outdated? What do you mean by outdated? Unless there are maps which have hd features patched out of them, how can a map be "outdated"?

He means the maps that don't work because of the patch which would be all the maps that have overlapped force names.

you might as well go threw everymap that has the overlapped game name.

force doesnt make it invalid... i tested it with my map.

I say we make an outdated category, so the maps are not lost forever. Also I would suggest a feature to report outdated map, because I doubt that keepers will want to start checking the bound section. tongue.gif

Or we could create an outdated map section for all maps except bounds because bounds suck lol. tongue.gif

Well, overlaps do make bounds look cooler.

I say we do. Cause some ppl dont really give a crap weither the laps are fccked up in bounds.

Just to clarify, laps are only gone in forces right? I think my maps with lapped map names still work, that's why I ask.

Correct. You have to use the tabs, colors in the Portal News-1.14 patch thread.

I'd say we should wait before doing something this drastic... Blizzard may yet release a patch to fix the overlap issue.

Yes, I hope they do release that soon. That effects alot of good maps that you can't join.

A multiplayer map that can't be played by multiple people, because it has an overlapped map name, is basically an unplayable map.
It's broken and useless.
It dosen't need it's own DLDB section, it needs to be deleted outright, or updated with a new map name.

I think blizzard will soon release 1.14b, which will fix the problem. I don't think we should delete them until it's clear blizzard won't fix them.

I doubt the DLDB keepers would want to re-add them, but maybe they can hide them. biggrin.gif

It would take a long time to sort out the maps that no longer work. Bounds aren't the only maps with stacked names, there are maps like Helen Keller RPG.

And Retard Round-Up XD

Anyway, I say just leave it as it is, sooner or later it'll be fixed, and if it's not, then maybe later changes can be made, but now it's too early to act.

I agree with Voyager that it's too early to take any radical action. We've seen the version B and C patches before, so we should wait a bit.

Okay I agree with you Moose.
