Storyline / Introduction
After Kerrigan defeated the Sons of Korhal, the Protoss Defense Force, and most of the United Earth Directorate fleet, her Lieutenant Samir Duran was nowhere to be found. Duran came up with a hybrid theory, where if the creations of the Xel'Naga were to be fused together to form one race then him and his army would be able to conquer the universe. Zeratul, mourning for the death of Razsagal, and looking for the survivors of the PDF, manages to pick up Protoss energy readings on a moon of Shakuras. No Protoss were sent to live on that moon; Zeratul believes it to be Artanis and goes to investigate.

Storyline UpdatedI always wanted someone to expain (Prefrebly Blizzard) what happend after that fateful battle of the last Mission of the Campaign. Your map however sounds like its gonna be a very interesting map because of the heart rate thing. Enemies near and HP remaining affecting attack speed and movement speed sounds like a good idea. Hope to hear more about this soon >_>
I won't be able to edit it for a couple of weeks (on vacation) but I'll continue to come up with new ideas to further improve everything.
Ohh! Seems very very interesting
Anyways like DM123 said, i was also wondering what happened in the secret mission. Try to make it as realistic as possible. Try to make it good too because I want to this play!
Looks sweet Shiz, cant wait
what happen ur other map? the rpg one?
Will you be controlling men under Zeratul investigating the hybrid theory? I'm interested in how this map will turn out, the heartrate system sounds very good. I look forward to trying this map out.
As much as I wanna say there is a map on Battle.Net called Kerrigan's Demise where Duran and his hybrid forces come in,which I like to play
,so your map can be a sequel to that map
oooooooooooooo... heart beats, thats absolute pwnage. and you're using zeratul
even better !!
will players be using existing characters or generic ones?
you like my avatar and sig?anyway the answer to your question is they use existing characters, for duran's hybrid forces most of the things are renamed

Kerrigan's Demise is a total mockery of the storyline.
Anyways..
The main player will be controlling Zeratul. 4 other players will either be controlling Terran or Protoss specialists. I might consider adding a secret hero, which will be like the main character in StarCraft: Ghost.
what would you do for secret hero?
There's going to be a bonus objective in the game. If you complete the objective (it won't be easy) it will give you a code. Enter the code at the beginning of the game and you will be able to select the character.
Hmm...are these hybrid units going to be the ones from the special zerg level???
It sounds awesome, especially the heartbeat thing. What kind of units are you going to use for the hybrids or are you going to use a mod?
P.S. Look at my awesomeness hybrid sig
This sounds like a great idea, and the terrain would have to be good...
ADD
~Forests
~Traps
~Water/Bridges
~Different hight levels
~Multiple enemy scout posts

Yeah, i think you should hire someone for the mods or ask someone's permission to use their existing mods.
lol wicked.

I'll consider making 2 versions of the game, one modded and one for Battle.Net.

Production is currently postponed because I'm on vacation until the 19th, but when I get back I'll be working on this map full time. Expect a Beta Release or a Demo either late August or early September.
k then
still anyways good luck with it and hope it gets done soon
im cutting my self and drinking the blood waiting for this to come
Wait a minute... I'm a skeptic. Sounds nice, but do you already have the heartbeat system thought out? You realize you can't actually detect a unit's health through triggers. You also realize you can't change a unit's speed or attack speed. Also, about the minerals for kills, you can use an EUD condition to detect each time a unit fires, or you could just use a "virtual health" system I thought up, that would allow you to detect shots and health without any EUD conditions. If you want me to tell you it, just PM me.
ADDITION: There are ways to make a computer player's unit appear to move faster, but there's no good way to do this for an actual human attacking unit. Also, the method only allows you to make it go at the speed of an observer.
Yes, of course I have already thought about it.
I wouldn't make them move faster, but make them move slower. Attack speed can be easily changed, I never said anything about minerals for kills, and I already know how to detect HP.
There shouldnt be minerals for kills
What about the base or your team ally (Computer)'s mineral gathering goes to you.
Like 1% of it.
Or you gain x minerals per x Minutes
Minerals are used for ammunition and that's it.
