And how would I know that? This is a map making clan on a map making forum. And nowhere do you ever say anything about making an animation aside from the less than mediocre trailor. Oh wait, did you assume that I would know because you called it the Animatrix? You do know the Animatrix already exists, right?
As for your title, I had assumed you were making maps based on the Animatrix series.
So let me get this straight, you're going to re-animate the Animatrix? I figured the maps would be somewhat acceptable, but this is just dumb. Are they going to be animated gif files like your trailor (if you say yes, give up now)?
And if its flash, will it be hand-drawn in flash or are you using other programs to map out characters' bodies and then using flash solely for the purpose of animating the movement? When I used to do animation, I used Adobe Illustrator (cartoony) or Poser (3-dimensional) to create the characters, Strata Studio Pro for the 3D backgrounds, and I used Flash to piece it all together and animate. I found that drawing directly onto the flash document looked horrible.
Or do you plan on actually making an animation by hand and piecing it together cell by cell on your computer? I've done this, too, and I gotta say just doing it all on the computer looks much better.
Will every cell of the animation be a static two-shot/wide angle or do you plan to use some sort of "camera" movement to help move along the story? Essentially I'm asking if you're going to have 2 characters in visible range talking without switching to close-ups or over-the-shoulder angles - a mistake most amateur animators make.
Or, did you plan yet another not-so-comedic animated Matrix parody with not-so-funny jokes and a final battle that is supposed to blow us away yet really feels incomplete and useless? I've seen too many of those, so I had to ask.
Making a map in a week seems like it will have quality issues. An animation in a week will definately have issues. This will be interesting.
