when i was testing my map i added some doodad doors in installation terrain
when the game starts they immediatly disappear
is there a certain doodad limit?
I know there's a sprite limit, but I didn't know there was a limit on terrain doodads (you know, stuff you place via the pallete). What types of doodads are you talking about again?
There is a limit of "doodads with sprites", in StarEdit/X-tra the limit is 250.
Not all doodads use sprites. Look
here for examples.
The editor won't allow you to place doodads after you reach the limit.
But doors aren't sprites, doors are units.
Do you have a trigger that kills or removes all units for all players? That could kill a door.
You can customize it in scmdraft in the setting, look at default for the orgininal settings. But if you open something up again in like sc-xtra it wont work cause xtra doesnt take more than 250 which it is its limit.

No doodads appear on the minimap.
So.. did we just conclude that the doors are _open_ when the game starts and that in fact, they are there? ;; You might to tell us if they're actually there but just open.
i put a start location near the door doodad then right when it starts the doodad just disappears and i only have 10 doodad doors in my map
.. So are the doors open and you aren't seeing them? Is that the problem?
no the doors are not open they are closed but when the game starts the doors disappear immedietly
