Staredit Network -> Staff Lounge -> Sever Backup?

Do we have a backup copy of the database on someone's hard drive? I would suggest loading one, even if it sets us back a few days, as an alternative to everyone losing so many minerals/posts from deleted topics.

Not one that I know of. There's probably one in the root site control panel which I can't access now.

Yoshi kept one on his computer. I suggest starting such a practice.

Yeah, but is there a continuously updated database backup?

Just set everyone's minerals to zero. Maybe get rid of the mineral system altogether until v5.

The only thing in the way is contests held. How else will they give out rewards?

I think files awaiting approval in the DLDB all got poofed, except a mod and a melee map.

They only deleted certain stickies in certain forums:

Not sure if Modding Discussion contained stickies.

Can we poor DLDB keepers get the same godly protection that Global Mods and Admins have? sad.gif

Just have our minerals constantly set to 1337. I'll be content.

I know that I need atleast 2707 of my 4500 or so back. 'Cause it's SeN survivor's pot. Also, I'll probably be needing more for the Staredit Only contest next month, too.

I have like 5,500 minerals before it was lost

And I had like 2,500 posts (maybe a little less, but more than 2,400)

I don't think most of the posts were actually deleted, just that the counter was jacked.

Warnable Staff had their counters reset, but all member post losses were from deleted posts (thousands of posts were in the topics that got deleted).
