Staredit Network -> UMS Assistance -> Upper limit on triggers

Does anyone know if there is a maximum number of triggers you can have? I know that the max number of locations is 255 but is there a limit like this on triggers?

If I calculated this right... about 1579032. That is because there is 4 bytes showing how long each CHK section is, and adding up everything found in the CHK trigger tutorial its about 2720 bytes (it is a bit confusing... so that number may be wrong).

However many there are, I think its too many for you to worry about.

EDIT:
Unless Blizzard put a limit.

EDIT#2:
lol.. in Hex its 181818

The limits that most often become an issue are for locations and strings, 255 and (around) 1024 respectively.

Here's a list of all the game limits.

Each trigger is 2400 bytes.
Max is 1,789,569 triggers.

I was close tongue.gif I just added up everything I saw in there. I could have easily mistyped something.
But still, its more than you need to worry about.

The string limit is not just a specific amount of strings.

There is a certain amount of space reserved for strings in a map, 65536 bytes.
A string takes up 2, plus 1 for each of the characters in the string. Strings always have a null character on the end.

The length of a string matters.
