Well, not really.

With the recent terrorist scare in the UK, suicide bombing has reared its ugly head once more.

What on Earth must drive a person (who in some cases may have seemed perfectly normal before becoming a suicide bomber) to blow themselves up, ending their life and those of many others?

I think that the person must be quite easily led (and/or ignorant/stupid) to begin with, and that they are probably brainwashed into believing that they will be rewarded after death. They are just pawns for people like Bin Laden - a means to their end - whatever that may be.

So - what do you think are the essential ingredients of a suicide bomber? Why do they exist and do what they do?

AND/OR very patriotic, like, if I had to, I would die for my country.

Yes, but consider that most of the terror suspects arrested in the recent scare were British born and willing to die for another cause (goodness knows how they've twisted Islam into something so terrible). Some of them weren't even Muslim until recently.

That's not patriotism.

They've been led to believe that they are fulfilling Allah's will, which they think is crushing the opponents of Islam (in this case, The americans). In return for their deeds, they believe they will be promised a spot in heaven for eternity. So, basically, they don't think they are dying, but moving on to something better. What they are missing is that this isn't Allah's will and they are probobly going to go to hell.

To make someone zealous to a cause, you have to make them really believe in it and try to make them see that your way is the true way. You can do this by giving them drugs that interfere with their senses, teaching them about the belief daily, and/or pressuring them to believe.

All that must be done is to make their objective of killing seem greater and more important then their own life.

How that is done depends on the individual.

Here are another three steps:

-Find a religious muslim
-Turn him/her into a drug addict without revealing yourself
-Come into their life saying "You're taking drugs ?! You will burn in hell for that ! To be forgiven, you must..."

Maybe the bombers are being bribed, like their family will be put in better living conditions. But they must brainwash the people or something. Reminds me of kamikaze fighters. I heard somewhere that they would drug the pilots or make them drunk before sending them on a mission.

Very easy - Blind patriotism and mainly RELIGION.
Most of the wars are because of "big people" fight over natural resaurces, but to get people fighting they mainly use religion - look back in history and you will see.

In order of importance
1. A poor enviornment(deplorable shelter, dirty water, scarce food, disease, almost no electricity).

2. A believable cause for the sistuation.

3. A label/face to refer to the cause.

4. Inspecific Religion
I think religion has to do with it, but in the least. I dont want to believe anyone is selfish enough to bring down others, just so they can have the good life. Sure heaven and the 40 virgins sweeten the deal, but I have to assume that they are doing this mainly because: they have been treated like crap, the people doing it get away with it, the very existence of their people is threatened, and the majority of the world looks at you like its your fault, when, if you look back to the roots(as you know them) the person you are suicide bombing is clearly at fault.

I don't remember where I read it, but the person that wrote it has a very valid point. All religions have their extremists. Islam has its bin Ladens, Christianity has its Pat Robertson, and so on and so forth.

In their religion, the only way to be 100% assured of getting into heaven is to die in a holy war, they believe that killing themselves 'for allah' is considered a holy war and therefore they are assured of going to heaven. short answer for your question.

Here at Bob's cooking were making up a doozy. Today were going to take your average guy and make him into a suicide bomber. First you must take your person and marinate him or her in some fresh of religion. Make sure it's the right kind or you'll suicide bomber might turn out a dud. Then you have to wait a day or so to let it soak in. Luckily we have previously prepared one and is now ready for the next step.

Convince the person that it's not really 100%, that if you die in the name of your god for a good cause you go to heaven.

You should rephrase that as, "Did you know that Muslims believe that if you commit suicide you will assuredly be going to Hell?" That makes it sound more like a belief than fact.

I think Suicide Bombers were born religious. The basic facts are known as the Americans are the annoying bees, Allah is their god, and ect. So, probably they're breeding the Suicide Bombers, giving them knowledge in which they will learn to live with with the rest of their lives (yes, I meant to put two 'withs'.) In other words, in my opinion, the three steps to making a suicide bomber is:

Number one: First, breed the son/daughter, and then teach them the religion of the Suicide Bomber tradition.

Number two: Teach them in your favor, in which they will grow up to be a GREAT Suicide Bomber, to be loyal and non-hesitating.

And finally...Number three: Send them to war. Be steathly...and quick! Take advantage of the Liquid Ban---I can't stand IT ANYMORE! I hate this!
