Parallel Rifts RPG
Terrain
I will use Jungle World Terrain, and a 256x256 layout. The map will be split into two equal halfs. Detailed terrain will be made on one half, then copied to the other half (with some minor differences.) This will result in two exact halves. (This will be explained later.) The only differences between the two halves will be subtle doodad/terrain differences, such as collapsed canyons, or different statues/trees. On one side will be the nation of Shrael peopled with the warlike shraelings. This nation will include a capitol and 3 cities. On the other side will be the kingdom of Fyorne, occupied by noble humans. (1 capitol, 1 city, 3 fortresses.)
Story
While traveling between the first and second fortress, the Prince of Fyorne and his escort disappear. The King of Fyorne sends 5 (or maybe 4) of his finest guardsmen (ninja-like warriors) to track the prince down. These warriors are played by the human players in the map. When traveling between the two fortresses, the guardsmen find a mysterious rift and witness armies of shraeling warriors filing out in preparation to attack the first fortress. Soon the two kingdoms are joined in battle, and the guardsmen are given a more important mission: to enter one of the portals appearing throughout the land and find out what lays on the other side. From here; the story becomes intensely complicated so I will not continue.....
Overview
Basically this is a multi-player RPG involving two parallel universes, and a third universe which will not be revealed yet. Portals between two kingdoms appear and as a result, the two kingdoms engage in war. The king's guardsmen are sent "behind enemy lines" to learn more about the strange portals that are opening everywhere before both nations are destroyed. What the guardsmen find is shocking.....
