How do I make the addons stand alone without the building counterpart they normally have...

Just preplace them for whatever player you want them to be owned by.
If you try creating one during the game it will immediately revert to P12 control.

No, you're not putting too many periods at the ends of your sentences. 3 is fine, 4 is just past that line of decency. That I drew. With a dry erase marker. On a sidewalk the same color. In the rain.

Technically you are, because they aren't "periods"
The dots are called an ellipsis.
Three is past the line I drew when I read wikipedia. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ellipsis

Preplaced addons won't work for vanilla and SCXE (except Alternative).
