I believe infinity is just an excuse for those too lazy to count.
Q: Largest Number Ever?
Typical A: Infinity.

Wrong. Infinity is not a number. Rather a term subsituting for those we have not dared imagined nor count yet.

Googleplex is the largest known number yet...but if we add on to it...there will be an EVEN larger number. Infinity x Infinity is the same as 1x1, or 2x1, or 1x2. Googleplex is an ACTUAL number, that is compressed so that we can understand it to our knowledge. Imagine GooglePlex to the GooglePlexth power, or an 1 with one thousand zeroes after it, with an exponent of 1 with one thousand zeroes after it. How long would it take you to do the expression?

Our imagination stretches FAR BEYOND the universe, as the number googleplex. And when I say far beyond the universe, it's because our minds are limited, and always try to find a simiplied way to answer something. In other words, we're lazy.

Go ahead, debate about it!

Naw I believe there are bigger numbers because it goes on and on and on. It can never stop. Because if you have 1 zero then another zero and the pattern goes on forever.

There isn't a largest number; it's conceptually impossible. Ever read The Phantom Tollbooth when you were younger? Take the largest number you can think of, and add one. Then add one again, etc. You can always add another one, or multiply by ten or what have you. And a googolplex is not the largest known number, obviously, because there is no largest known number. You're right in saying that infinity isn't an actual number, though, but that doesn't mean you can't do math with it. Wait 'till you learn calculus...

You post it as if it is a discovedry. Infinity is needed for calculations.

Besides they have to keep naming all the big numbers like this.

100000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000

It goes on forever and forever and forever. There is no math book that can hold the number because it will keep adding a zero and another so it may never end and people have to keep naming them so its impossible to say the largest number so it goes on forever no day will it stop.

There isin't much debating because there will always be a higher number than the last one like many have said already.

Wrong. While infinity is not a real number, the largest number is defined as:

lim[sub]x→∞[/sub] x

If you can't deal with it, too bad. Yes, it's a very big number.
